If the remaining OG Hybrids do not go out of service at the end of this year then they are for sure going to go out of service some time next year.

yeah true. i guess ttc is running them until they start showing problems. i expected the remaining 25 to be gone by now but i guess these buses aren’t showing enough problems to retire them randomly. so im guessing we still got maybe 2-3 months left give or take 😂

@@d0nmills These are hybrid buses which means that they can last a bit longer than the diesel buses because I do not imagine that the diesel buses used by MiWay and TTC could last this long. Retirement of the OG Hybrids began in May 2021. I do remember seeing these OG Hybrids serving outside of Union and Yorkdale Station when I took GO TRANSIT 19 and GO TRANSIT 61 back in 2019 until the day that the MicNicoll Division opened in Scarborough which was on March 28th, 2021. These routes which are 6 BAY and 47 LANSDOWNE from Mount Dennis got transferred to Birchmount and Wilson.

@ not really true, as diesel buses can tend to be more reliable just more expensive when it comes to repairs and more emissions.

@@d0nmills Well, I'm sure the diesel buses used by MiWay and TTC are only made to last for 17/18 years before they have to go out of service. They can be very expensive to fix when they are like 17/18 years old.

@ same goes for Hybrid buses thats why most Hybirds aren’t going to make it past 17-18 a ton of OG And NG hevs barely made it 17-18 with more then have the NG hybrid’s retired due to failures 🤣
