He is a great sportsman ! In 2012 January in Hungarian Open I request an autograph from him to an acrobatic topspining picture of him .He said me " it's cool !!! "Then I asked him do you have enough t-shirt ? He just smiled....since then I put that dedicated picture in frame and hung up on my wall ,as a great souvenir .

To understand or even appreciate his emotional outbursts, you'd have to realize that he has gone through a lot for his relatively young age. He was considered a black sheep in the national team (see the tatoo on his back?) and once got sent back to his hometown team for disciplinary purpose. He desperately needed to prove himself and the championships probably made him feel vindicated in the end...

Zhang jike is potentially a number 1 he just doesnt try anymore because his financial issues and his leg accident like a month ago now he's losing his touch but his previous self he was reigning world champion at such young age for such long time i believe he perhaps is one of the greatest t.t players of all time up there with Waldner and Guoliang and Lin

He's young at those times (if I'm not mistaken). What were you doing when you were in your 20s? Getting wasted in parties and all that irresponsible shit. He's fighting for his country in his 20s. He's been trained since he was 5. Chinese players pretty much sacrifice their childhood for this.

Both were supreme in their era but ZJK was the better athlete. In his prime too, ZJK's mental fortitude was extremely strong...like coming back many times from set deficit and taking the match away. The top players in his era were never certain of winning a set when they faced prime ZJK

hes the fastest ive seen and with power too so what if he acts like that its what ping pong is all about. If you dont have it in you then you will never be good like that hes so fast its the energy inside has to be let out its competition is what a lot fo people dont understand. Hes living the game letting it out and having fun its what ping pong is really to use your strength and stamina and use up all your strength.
