In the first clip, good on ya champ, just a little tip for anyone in this situation, wet the area around the fire so it won't spread as fast or at all, and always aim at the base of the fire instead of the rising flame! I may be wrong but it seems logical. Hope ya'll have a good day.

That fire is so tragic.. the sheer power is humbling. The poor people could only sit and watch as their homes were swallowed by the flames. The person they took into custody deserves a long life of forced manual labor to make up for what they did. Disgusting.

When I was about 5 years old my grandmothers house went on fire with us in it. my dumb aunt left chicken cutlets cooking going to get my cousin from the bus stop . Almost 30 years ago and I’ll never forget that day my grandma about 60 at the time just had a double by pass done a couple weeks prior. Lady picked me up put me at the front door and sprinted up the smoke filled staircase into the burning kitchen like a pro athlete/firefighter wearing a granny nightgown 😂 we were fortunate enough to have a Good Samaritan passing by who grabbed the neighbors hose and started fighting it. Took out the whole upstairs kitchen and part of the living room. Luckily didn’t get any further. Sorry to hear your family’s loss

i wonder would a riot shield offer any protection from an exploding propane tank?
@gnarthdarkanen74643 жыл бұрын
Not much... You got two parts to the tank, and then the concussion of the explosion. The heat of the fire-ball isn't worth worrying about so much... BUT that concussion will put you on your ass, rendering (likely) the shield of nearly no purpose because it's impossible to control it. Part 1 of the tank is shrapnel, the odd little bits of metal that fly off in various UNPREDICTABLE directions. They're like weirdly shaped bullets and are just as deadly. Riot shields are only "bullet resistant" not entirely bullet proof... Part 2 of the tank exploding is the majority of the tank itself. It will often become airborne, so you're just better off to keep an eye on its course and get the hell out of the way. Trying to wrestle the shield up to protect against it is going to cause more problems than you solve. Best things to do if you see a fire approaching a propane tank : 1. If possible with reasonable safety, go shut the tank's primary valve OFF, and disconnect it from the line. A pair of basic pliers can be a GOD SEND for this purpose exactly. THEN you can even drag it with the bike across grass and gravel to get it clear of the house or any other potential threats/victims... It might not save the tank, but it can buy a LOT of time. 2. GET THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!!! Those things might "purge" more often than explode, but they still explode VERY VIOLENTLY, and you don't want any part of that noise. ...and that's about it. ;o)
