So... Left Aligned is about a Hank's friend who died. After reading the lyrics, i really think that this guy committed suicide. The verse: "Running up the walls, Sick, stressed and all regretful Of what life could have been. Tired, stretched and thin, Keep it in. You're rolling off the rails, Lights signal fails, amber's tail Of compensation claims, Screeching brakes and loud crashing sounds" makes me cry every time, it touch my heart deeply. I've always been in love with that bass ever since I've seen it used by them. Sadly I've tried to search for it but I only found the classic model with three single coil pickups. (for whom didn't notice, this one is a six string bass with two higher strings and PJ pickups with the single coil between the split and the neck) I've only seen it once in a guitar shop a few years ago, it shouldn't be too expensive being a Squier but something suggests me that it will be quiet hard to find it when I'll be in the right conditions to buy one.
@zaxzumu4605

Yeah he does have videos about it. If you want to take on a project, it's a homemade bass VI with a Squier Jaguar bass with a new tuners (and filling in the bass tuner holes in the headstock and drilling in holes for guitar tuners), bridge, and nut. I believe he also changed out the pots, but I think the pickups are original

can anyone tell me the name of the interviewer? The guy has done the live sets for pretty much all my favourite bands, or at least favourite Audiotree sets and I think he's class! Keep up the quality interviews and quality content!

Does the vocalist play a Baritone guitar?
@himawarii_gg
@himawarii_gg 7 жыл бұрын
It's actually a Squier Jazz bass, stock pickups, replaced the bridge with a custom 6 string bass bridge, uses a zero fret instead of a 6 string bass nut, and filled the holes from the bass tuners and replaced them with normal guitar tuners (he still uses bass strings, not sure on the thinner strings though) It's basically modified 6 string bass with closer string spaces

it's a "Bass VI," basically a 30" guitar tuned an octave down.
@blunderbrain11
@blunderbrain11 7 жыл бұрын
PulpAwesomeness this is accurate but the cool thing about it is that he didn't just buy a bass VI, he either made or had someone make a bass VI out of a bass (probably a short scale). If you look closely you can see the holes in the headstock where the tuning pegs for the bass used to be.

Both TTNG line ups are great but have strenght and weaknesses. The current one has more interesting guitar work with the bass playing counter melodies and chords which add more dimention. The original line up had a singer that was excellent for the style of music.

It does sound like a bass, but strings are way thinner than bass ones, and i think that the pick would be quite small for a bass as well o: Why do you want to change the key anyway?

ManuAlvarado22 It is the Fender Bass IV, 6 string bass with thinner strings. And there’s nothing like a sick key change haha
