I use AMD in my trading as well but I usually go for 5 mins entry and try to capture the daily range. I've had success with it before but I was always feeling like I was working with a prototype, this makes more sense to me. I will backtest it and if the results are good, then I would start implementing in in my trading.

9:29 An idea: if you suspect that you are seeing manipulation there (an aggressive reverse candle seems to be a reliable confirmation of that), why not enter long upon the close of that candle and exit in the middle of the accumulation range? The price will probably reach that level, at least. After that, you could wait for the break of the level and renter long upon the test of the level (as in the box model).
