There is way that is true. His bench press is being exaggerated or he worked out way more than he left on. Simmons could have easily worked out at home. 500 pounds is exceedingly rare. It’s almost impossible to bench press 200 pounds without working out unless you are kind of fat.

What I love is that when Simmons won his title in the early 90s with WCW, his gimmick was that he was a very strong, powerful former all-american football player, and very proud black man with integrity and the righteous charisma of a political leader and he just wanted a shot at making his dream come true on behalf of every black man out there who didn't get a shot in life. @@cl8355 College Football Hall of Famer, pro football Hall of Famer and College Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Imagine it is the 1950s, you are a white guy at Duke (which was still lily white) and on the lacrosse team and you are facing Syracuse and here comes Jim Brown coming at you full tilt, and he has a lacrosse stick. Also, in his 60s he did a short stint in prison and refused parole because he did not want a few years of being answerable to some bureaucrat. It let him continue his outreach program to black youth in hail and prison to try and get them to turn their lives around. He also walked away from football at his peak because he felt he had better things to do - specifically reach out to at risk black youth.

I graduated highschool with Ron's stepson. Got to meet him when he would come to our home football games to watch us play. His traps looked like Mt Everest on one side of his neck and the Matterhorn on the other side. Shook his hang and it was like having a hydraulic press squeezing my hand. He was real down to earth. A true Georgian boy.

Arn Anderson’s is full of him self when he says Ron never worked out he played college football for Florida state and worked out all the time so it’s not like he came out of his mom benching 600 pounds.
@MrBeckenhimself Жыл бұрын
The first time I even tried to bench in my life I could do 200 pounds, obviously I'm talking one rep here. But still. According to my uncle (fathers side) he saw my dad bench 280 pounds in his youth. And my dad never touched weights at all and I do mean literally never. But he still had a defined chest.
