Hey Trent advid fisherman here giving you some advice here. Times Fish are biting: 6am, 12pm, and 4pm. Also when the lures don't work switch to either power bait, fish eggs, or worms. If worms are not available then power bait it. Also since it a rainy day fish will not bite on rainy days. But the day after oh boy it's fishing time.

Oooh, the memories!! I was staying in Girdwood and heard about Whitter and went to check it out. It was magical and the people were nice. I loved the harbor with all the seals playing around and the hiking trail with waterfalls towards the glacier. That whole area blows my mind, because even along the coast highway to get here, I kept seeing people pull off on the turnouts with empty water bottles. There are pvc pipes coming out of the side of the cliff with water coming out and people pop by to fill up their water bottles with fresh glacier water for free. Amazing how clean the water and air are up there still. This video made me ready to back!!

I've been watching your Alaska adventure the past few days and living through you has done wonders for me dude. I'm so much more motivated to go out and actually do things. Fishing is trickier than it looks btw. There are a lot of factors such as knowing when and where what you're trying to catch is feeding, type of bait, what the water is like, etc. Details don't really matter if you're just trying to chill, but if you really want to catch something, like anything do some research and recon and that will improve your odds significantly. Treat fishing like you would a job for an episode and you'll see the change! Best of luck and thank you so much for all your content!

Hey Trent not sure if anyone's mentioned it. With the spinning reel you have when you have cast your line(hit the water) let it sit for a few seconds to pull out a bit more line and sink a little(works amazingly if you're using worms, you can dig them up usually close to the water of you don't have any) then as soon as you start reeling it in (turning) it'll automatically close the reel and lock the line so you don't have to flip it all the time. Mmmmm Alaskan rainbow.... You're killing me lol This is also fantastic for fishing in a strong current, if you throw it in the opposite direction the current is flowing you'll hit more area because it'll flow with the current past you. This works on the same premise as dragging or "trolling" your line in a boat while moving. Ugh now i have to go fishing 😢 LOVE THIS SERIES ! Have a blast. Millie is such an amazingly behaved dog, best traveling companion ever!
