Most people are broke today regardless of gender and age. If anything it sucks for men past 40 as older women have had a taste of dating 6 fig and even 7 figs by 35 if her body count is high enough. Her standards go up and up and up while her value goes down and down at the same time. After 43 or so women will nto date anyone who makes under 150k, a new truck or exotic car, and have a very large house in a nice area even if she is fat with kids with wrinkles. SMH

@@timgibney5590 I will also add that any man making 7 figures would be st00pid to continue dating or even living in North America. You can comfortably retire at 1.2-1.5 million. You can live in Asia or Eastern Europe on 2-3k per month. I mean actually live - hire a maid to cook for you, rent a mid-size luxury apartment, eat healthy organic food and use excellent West European healthcare. Life in Montenegro, Croatia or Poland is actually way higher in quality than life in North America, ladies included. East European ladies are thin, well-educated, well-mannered, well-dressed, know multiple languages and just look more feminine on average. It is too bad most men are blind to even consider moving outside of North American matrix.

I think what really got me over the beta mindset is the realization that I was subconsciously repressing the aggressive and fiercely competitive part of myself as a man. When I let that loose, just as an experiment for a few days, I instantly got over all the trauma and ptsd from my past relationships. It’s insane. It’s like this. If an eagle went after salmon in a stream and missed. It doesn’t cry over it. It loops around and dives for another fish. But men who haven’t got that sort of hunter mindset, who aren’t in touch with it, think they have the luxury of crying and being depressed or traumatized for weeks or months or years over some girl who walked away… while they slowly get older, weaker and more pathetic. Now, when I hear guys complain about breakups it sort of pisses me off, because I blame the dude for his suffering. Because I’m just thinking, if you’re hurting that bad, then you can’t be hurting for that long. A lion that is hungry hunts. He doesn’t wallow and cry. If you’re that desperately lonely, how can you be here crying AGAIN instead of aggressively doing everything you can to capture a suitable mate?

Damn that's a good analogy. I think what's happening , is guys are OUTSOURCING their motivation and happiness. They can't give it to themselves. Sure , they can tell themselves they're a great guy, but it's like it has no power. But if he admires a person or really into a certain woman, and SHE says it to him, it's got all the power in the world. He's outsourcing his happiness to another person. It's easy to just SAY to look inside urself, it's inside you etc etc. But no one really says HOW to do these things they recommend. They just recommend it. Never give u HOW to do these things. Attractiveness over intelligence has always been the standard. The Jock/Hunk in high school was the one taking the prettiest girl in the school to the prom, not the nerdy, valedictorian of the class. It just seems that females, not wanting to appear to the feminist movement, learned the right response overnight. But they never changed what they really want. Hookup culture using social media dating apps hurts men's chances since 90% of the women are looking only for 10% of men. 2.) Feminism has destroyed healthy relationships with men since women want to compete with men vs supporting men. 3.) Divorce greatly favors women and can literally ruin a man's financial life to the point of suicide in some cases. 4.) Immortality and the degradation of culture in the western world. 5.) Men are expected to provide all the value to a relationship in today's dating world where as the woman just has to look good, but provide no value in return like being a good homemaker, good with children, supporting her man after a tough day at work, etc. Those are five that come to mind. I can rattle a bunch more off. You might disagree, but this is through one man's perspective looking from the outside in.

I have a hunch that the acceptability, and therefore operational practice of cuckoldry greatly increased between the paper publication date (2009) and today, as both the internet tools facilitating cuckolding, and the "societal" norms (wokeness / Feminism) was rather mild compared to today. Furthermore, the women who are coming of age today, 2023 - 23 y.o. were only 9 y.o. girls when this study came out. And there is a huge difference between hypergamous female behavior of before 2009 (the date of publication of the article), and today, 14-ish years later.

These ideas represent a world view. This man has lots of good ideas. But also some bad ones. I remember this dude as the "She is not yours, it's just your turn" .. he spoke about these short messages like the "girls make rules for betas, and break them for alphas". That is not a beneficial way to look at the complex topic like building a strong and healthy relationship. It may help with getting on the right path tho. Secondly, having a study that says "these are the most attractive women and they are married" and derrive essentially their "wants" from that is missing on the quality of that method. That is a poor analysis. Because if she is unsatisfied in her marriege, she will tell you something completely different than a woman who is satisfied. So immediatelly, that study cannot be taken as an absolute fact and clear tell sign. It is remarkable and worth looking into, but not for basing your decisions on it. People are different and want different things. I am certain I could get a result from a study I conduct where like 80% of people between 16 - 54 will tell you the most important thing for a happy life is health. I just need to pick the right sample of people. That's like the "hypergamy". If hypergamy was real, none of us shmucks would have any chance. Because women would rather be with a dude who makes a million per day. And trust me, with the boom of instragram, if girls look half way decent, dudes like that contact them. I would call that extreme hypergamy. Mild hypergamy seems to be generally in place. But people think they need to be millionaires to get women. Same with being buff. No, just be strong and have proportions, do not be too skinny or too fat. That is enough. You want a model? Well, who does she meet? Does she meet mainly other models who are sculpted like greek gods? Well then you will probably have to be on that level too to not seem ridiculous? But not for all models like that. It all depends with what values she was raised. If she values looks, she will need you to look good, almost pristine if she is really good looking. But there are gorgeous girls who were born with that, they are like that and they just dress cute but the beauty is just not part of them. They do not much effort into it and not much emphasis on that. On the other hand, a 7 who can make herself look like a 10 by going to the gym, pushup bra, volumptous hair. It all just depends. So approaching dating and running relationships on arbitrary elements is gonna lead to problems. Like that one dude who joined in the middle of the podcast. He is 33 with a bastard kid. For a person who has a moral code that children and family are #1 and should stay together, he may be a total failure. For some player, he is a chad or whatever. For me, as long as it works for him, is not hurting and is at least giving the kid some chance to succeed in life, by all means continue. But then we would get to a topic of morality which is more different for people across the board than their mating preferences. Also. The reproduction 24:18 - It was not 80% of the men, not reproducing. That was the hypothesis and they found it lower among humans. But I do not remember if it was 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 men. Because in animals, it is around those 80 to 90%, hence the initial hypothesis.

as a 60 yr old man that never married and never had children, wasted my 20's and half of my 30's on drug usage. Never made anywhere near enough $$ to consider marrying, I never ever wanted to be a department head, or The Boss...because I saw early on the absolute frustration that guys were going thru trying to be a "manager" of some dept. or business, and I avoided it at all cost. Fast forward to my late 40's and early 50's, working for a major retailer, I had managers come to me and asking me if I would like to enter the "program" and become a salaried manager, because of my leadership skills and intelligence...and I laughed at them! I said I would never do that ever, because I totally disagreed with the way the company did things. The only way I would be in management, would be if I was the Owner of the business...and the #1 shot caller. I work as a custodian now full time, make more money than I have ever made my entire life, and will be able to retire and just work a couple of days per week and collect social security...and go and play disc golf everyday...and have "peace".

The Intelligence vs degree conundrum - I think it goes back to Jordan Peterson's teachings about basic personality traits. A degree = conscientiousness (ie not lazy, same as a marathon runner but more likely to be conformist. Intelligence does not mean that. Plenty of intelligent people lack industriousness. You need a good work ethic to make decent money, you need a very good work ethic plus intelligence to run a great business, etc etc. Work ethic is more important than intelligence, because there are so many intelligent men who are lazy or who are thinkers not doers.

Mating preferences studies (male vs female) have been shown to be consistent world wide. A lot of this cannot be studied academically because of political correctness. But, you can make some safe inferences. Hybristophilia, found (to some degree or another) in most women, but NEVER found in men. Good bet that it's hard wired.

She described how the process worked - any woman of height/weight proportionality would get requests for future intimacy/sex, as well as quite a few chubsters (but not as many).
