No I just think the top guys should be paid like they’re top guys. Not everyone is an elite qb. I also think that with a hard salary cap league it’s about asset allocation. When you pay an average starter more than he’s worth it’s affects team building. That’s why Tom always took team friendly deals because in this sport winning matters above all else. These teams don't HAVE to give out these QB contracts. They do because they're scared by the media and agents. You can win with a Purdy, DeVito, etc. until the next QB class rolls around. Just explain the plan to your fans and cut ticket prices for a few seasons. Spend the money you do have on linemen.
