Classic concussion! He hit the back of his head. It does not need to be a big hit. Too many receivers get the exact same concussion while catching and falling backwards except they get it at running speed.

wait, the NFL does what? The NFL doesn't make players play. Coaches ask/tell players to play. A medical team gives their stance on whether a player can or can't play, but nobody MAKES a player play. So many stupid comments out there like this. So many people saying the NFL should be punished. So many people nowadays calling for justice. Can't we go back to thinking that instead of always having to have a victim to thinking that the person who plays the sport is to blame? If a snowboarder breaks his back going down a hill, you going to say the resort should be punished? Tua plays a high speed contact sport. He got hurt. He knows he got hurt. He walked out on the field under his own decision the next game after having an obvious concussion, and you say it's the NFL's fault?!? You are a moron.

I've done this before and THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT'S A CONCUSSION! Now maybe he said KEEP ME IN!And I'm sure the coach is thinking about the game not his health and I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE...They usually care more about a WIN, Especially if you do to! He's gonna stay away from investigators till they cant tell if it was a concussion. Although IDK exactly how long that is. I imagine 3-5 days.

This is horrible, I had not seen this hit, and after seeing Tua get seriously injured against the bengals it’s ridiculous that the Miami medical staff and coaches let Tua come out and play tonight. Horrible look, and horrible for Tua and his family, the Miami dolphins and NFL let him down!sad sight to see.

The scariest part is that both hits didn't appear to be overly violent. That means his condition is very fragile. I'm a dolphins fan and know he the reason we've been playing well, but I would be terrified every play if he returned this season. We can wait for another great QB. He needs multiple full tests and care to make sure 100% that he can withstand it.

Didn't see this till now, but I'm in tears. Seeing what happened, seeing him like that, knowing how it was handled, knowing what happened in the next game, and seeing his lineman hold him up is too much. Pretty much the entire NFL is culpable for allowing him to play vs. Cincy. It's absolutely indefensible. Get well soon Tua. RTR.

I know Tua is a tough son of a gun and he (may have been) ok to come back for the 2nd half but sheesh you’d think the way he was wobbling that the dolphins would’ve kept him out for the rest of the game. Concussions are no joke and risk Tua’s health just to get him back ASAP without I feel truly evaluating him is a bit sus. I’m not a doctor or trainer I’m just giving my 2 sense about how I see it.

But it was a back injury? It *locked" up . Yeah ok . He left the game and cleared concussion protocol, eventually returning to lead Miami to a 21-19 win over Buffalo. After the game, the quarterback addressed the concussion protocol and told reporters his back “locked up” after the hit, causing him to stumble.

And for those who bought into Miami's "back injury" excuse, hopefully now you see why it's important not to rush back from *CONCUSSIONS* Playing in another game 4 days after a concussion only makes you more susceptible to additional head trauma. First time his head bumps off the ground you saw what happened. Dolphins medical staff should be fired.

In cycling there is a technology called MIPS, short version, it helps with the sudden stoppage of the brain inside the skull, under impact. Basically a floating, multi directional liner inside the helmet. I’m not sure if it would help with the impacts that football players take, but with cycling we can crash at speeds over 30mph. Unfortunately I’ve had seven concussions and cannot risk another while racing. My concentration and short term memory have been the biggest problems. Wishing Tua a speedy recovery, love watching the Dolphins beat the odds. Fins-Up! 🐬 🏈
