Dude, I played football for 15 years (way too long) up to semi-pro level and never took half of the hits that Tua has taken. I definitely deal with the effects of the hits, daily, so I can only imagine what his future looks like now, let alone with another or few more concussions. I am a Saints fan, like you, but I can't continue to watch this dude do this to himself. It is heartbreaking.

This is the most terrifying thing... They just paid him that massive contract, and the 'Fins, like all NFL teams, are a business. There is a world where Miami will bleed Tua like a sacrificial lamb, then point the fingers at Tua. This is a logical scenario, considering the risk Tua and the 'Fins have treated his injuries. Worst case. I hope my #RollTide Tua is okay.

If you know about cte and the danger of concussions, of course any concussion is awful for your brain, but the really dangerous thing is getting a second concussion before you have gotten over the symptoms of your first one. It is also much easier to get a concussion at this time as your brain hasn’t fully healed. That being said, the Dolphins organization has a lot of blame for what is happening to Tua. That clear concussion he got 2 years ago where they said it was a “back spasm” therefore allowing him to finish out that game and play the next week. Then the next week he gets that absolutely awful concussion when he should have been on the bench if the Dolphins doctors did their job. That second concussion is what really changed the trajectory of his career and his health. The doctors and the organization needs to be held accountable, or at the very least the public should be made aware of this so it doesn’t keep happening.
