When he said we gettin a Super Bowl out of him just have to believe, well I believe it’s not a matter of if just when. People with conviction like his always get what they want in the end. Well now in 2024 even though I did sort of predict it Lamar cranked it up to 100. The dude is on his way to becoming a 3 time mvp at 27 and the scary thing is he’s getting better. Most players win mvp at their peak, this dude isn’t even at his ceiling and is already the best currently. Eventually if he keeps on this trajectory eventually no one will stop this guy.

They don’t even know who Mahomes is…
@ahmedosman1327Ай бұрын
People talk about his losses, especially in the playoffs, but you know they don’t watch the game. Almost all his INTs come off of WR drops and almost every game lost is because the team randomly decides to stop running the ball. You heard that right: the best running team in the NFL just decides not to run the ball, Harbaugh is actually holding this kid back + mid/bad WR’s and RB’s.

@brendan9868Ай бұрын
@ I mean they can’t just keep playing the “next year we got it” game tho. Already wasted like 2 years trying to force Greg Roman’s offense to work past its expiration date and dealing with injuries, then last year we threw our entire gameplan out the window in the AFC Championship. I have 0 doubt that if the defense just steps up to be simply mediocre against the pass instead of abysmal then they could win now. Every year we don’t tho that window gets tighter.
@mards2479Ай бұрын
I just keep thinking back to Peyton mannings first SB win, he had the leagues worst defense all year, when the playoffs started his defense transformed overnight, and even though Peyton didn’t play well that postseason his defense stepped up enough to win it all. Holding out hope.
@mr.penguin4614Ай бұрын
listen i know the title is taken, but Lamar Jackson is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. Like truly the most fun player in the league to watch. he's only gotten better, which is insane. I know people are more likely to compare Tom Brady to MJ based on career achievements, and yeah that makes total sense..... But hear me out, I'd say MJ and Lamar have more in common than those two, I'll explain. MJ was one of one, he actively changed game all throughout his career in multiple areas of the sport all at once. He redefined his role and broke the mold of what's expected from even the highest caliber of an NBA shooting guard or of any position for that matter. While Tom is the GOAT of QB's he didn't redefine the position, he played it the way it's more or less expected to be played, of course at an extraordinary level to say the least. Lamar on the other hand has redefined his role time and time again, and the role/impact a QB has in the sport of football. He went from a dual threat QB that relied on his incredible speed early on, to an incredibly accurate pocket passer with the ability to scramble leagues better than any other QB in the NFL. He was already a defensive coordinators nightmare early on in his career, but now he's truly become one of one. Defenses are incapable of defending against him. he does what he wants when its ravens possession, and no defense is capable of preventing it. (So long as his team doesn't get called for a dozen penalties before, during or after the play.) So why does this comparison of MJ and Lamar actually make more sense? Because they both redefined what their position was capable of in their respective sport . They both redefined the impact their role was capable of on any given play or possession. They both attained a level of play that made the opposing players look underqualified for the job of trying to compete / defend against them. Finally, both MJ and Lamar were and are the most exhilarating and unbelievably entertaining players to watch play their sport. PS tom is more similar to lebron. arguably the greatest to ever play the game, but neither really changed the way the game was played per say. just performed consistently at incredible heights practically all throughout their careers. This isn't a jab at anyone, if that wasn't already clear. I'm not comparing accolades, I'm comparing individual impact on their sport, specifically the way they've impacted how the game is played, and individual impact on their respective position. It's far from a perfect comparison, but its a lot more reasonable than people realize at first glance.

There’s absolutely no validity to that argument. Football has never been and will never be on the shoulders of one man. Players have to catch. Players have to block. Defense has to stop the opponents. Coaches have to come up with the most efficient scheme. If all those things don’t align, there won’t be any success. Anyone who watches the Ravens will know that coaching is BEYOND suspect in the playoffs. Last year against the Texans, first half was atrocious. Adjustments were made and it turned around. Why hasn’t anyone asked where were the adjustments vs KC? Zero adjustments. Yet, it’s easy to blame Lamar because “he’s the MVP QB” right? That’s LAZY and pathetic.

Not saying I necessarily agree with this standard, but there’s some precedence with it.

@@melaninknowledge3658 And on that we will agree because you're right, it's reached a real level of absurdity at this point. I say this year is the year Lamar shuts everyone that says he can’t win in the playoffs up, they have the team to do it this year, the Defense isn’t looking to good, but they held up for the most part against some good teams this year, all they gotta do is not let the other team score more then 20 and the Ravens could win every game

If Lamar can get 1 more MVP, 3 Superbowl rings, and Superbowl MVP hes John Unitas. Until that hes Lamar.

QBs like Lamar will be the standard for the NFL. He's evolving the position, unitas didn't.

naw his throws it really goes down to calling plays to allow him to be him a threat in all phases only thing he missing is catching the ball he scares teams there defense when they mess up know he gonna work his magic as long as they let him do his thing

I dont care what anyone says. Harbaugh is not that good of a coach. He was lucky he had ray lewis and ed reed all those years. Imagine if lamar has andy reid.

Fans get caught up in the age they live in. There have been other dual threat dynamic quarterbacks that did't have the same stats due to much shorter length of NFL seasons at the time they played. Look up Fran Tarkenton. His scramble was notorious and dangerous too. Lamar is one of the best athletes of all time, yes. But there have been others who were really good as well. Just not in recent times.

If lamar keeps this pace this year he will win his 3rd mvp which would be his 3rd out of 4 full season

Vick plays nothing like Lamar. Vick wasn’t as shifty as Lamar. He’s the only qb you see hurdling defenders and still strong enough to stiff arm them off too

I wanted him to hold out after the 2019 season for more money and adopt the Revis mindset. He should offer his services like a gunslinger. His contract should always pay him more than anyone else. That's the contract he should have. His teammates will love him no matter where he goes. His desire to be the best should be reflected in his compensation package. His mother didn't know any better so she settled.

There's more than one player on a team and if you wanna be a Super Bowl contender you sure as heck ain't spending all your money on a qb. Look how that's working out for Dallas. All that money to Dak and they suck. Without talent around him Lamar ain't never gonna win the Super Bowl

Joe burrow should work more on using his legs. He's talented but he doesn't look like he works at it strategically. He's got plenty of speed to augment his arm. Yes we don't want him taking hits. But he takes season ending hits in the pocket. Some things are natural. But others are training. Lamar Jackson has Olympic sprinter type foot striking. His strides are good technique. That's good practice of good technique. Joe burrow just tries hard to run fast. He needs to work on running like Steph Curry on strength training. Curry is strong enough to use his other skills better. Joe burrow just a half step faster is more dangerous.

LJ has a effortless cannon for a arm with just flick of the wrist ball goes 50+ yrds. And he can throw darts and doesn't get credit for his accuracy.

Ya but Bill had the change to draft Lamar but traded out that pick with Baltimore hey, if he didnt have that bios like the other teams that past up on Lamar he would still be coaching right now. 😂

Lamar Jackson has quite his critics by his performance. The Ravens would have been 11-1 if it wasn’t for the blunders of his teammates.
