At 1:16:00 Isn't it posible to kill the Antiair with two tanks, then the infantry on grass with recon+infantry and finally hit the artillery with the other tank and you have a recon+inf to stop the capture or alternatively hit the arti with recon and use the tank against his tank on road. You would certanly be overextending into his territory but you can take out the scary arti in the back.

doing this does allow me to hit the artillery, but it would also leave all jake's tanks untouched, which would would annihilate my entire army the next turn, on top of activating a copter built 2 turns ago from the airport (which did in fact exist). so i would get the artillery down to 3 hp and kill an AA, but i would be losing all 3 tanks in return and potentially some of the recons too

What if you built an artillery on the infantry only base to pop the pipe seams then delete it? Is this a viable strategy?

it's not, because your opponent will be spending those funds on vehicles that can actually fight you, and every turn the artillery is on the base is an infantry your opponent will have and you won't
