I was born in Laos in 1973, migrated to united States on December 1979. I am glad my parents came when we did otherwise I may not be able to go to elementary school. I started in 2nd grade. I'll be turning 50 in October. I have a high school diploma in 1992, joined the US Marine Corps from 1992-1996, passed my electrical license in 2004, also acquired a patent in 2004 and have my own electrical business since 2011. Not a lot to brag about but it's a lot for a Hmong kid from no education to business owner and become an inventor. Glad to have you with us in the USA. The struggle is real. My dad passed away just recently and this story reminded me of my dad's life. The only differences is that his mother passed away when he was young and he is a handicap man at a very young age. What an amazing story. I prefer these kinds of stories from the cheating old man trying to marry 3 wives kind. Your dad isn’t even dead and he can’t even love you like your stepdad.
