Best dixieland jazz band in the world! And the most fabulous washboard player!
@janwillemvanasch29715 жыл бұрын
This undoubtedly is one of Skinny's greatest performances. The tuba player at his very best! What a band, what a sound! Also one of Erika's best! Love it!

Individually brilliant, collectively exquisite ..... If you like Shaye, you have to love Barnabus too - they play as one here, tossing phrases back and forth like hot caresses ..tender Tuba Todd, Joyous Jonathan, and blazing Ben all weave into the whole - Robin dazzles .. & Jason & Max under-gird it all. ---- I haven't adequate words .....

I never ceased to be amazed by Tuba Skinny. This video proves that they are the best trad jazz band alive. I have watched hundreds of Tuba Skinny videos and saw an amazing live three hour performance by them at d.b.a. a few weeks ago, but I rank this performance captured by Wild Bill up there with the best I've seen. They are COOKING on this! And they are joined on piano by Ben Polcer. He and Shaye Cohn are neck and neck in my book as the two best horn and piano players of traditional jazz in New Orleans. Thanks Wild Bill, and again, the sound quality is outstanding. SUBSCRIBED! Now I'm going to stop typing and listen to it again.

I’ve definitely got to agree with everything you said, but especially the sound quality. This sounded very balanced with all the instruments and Erika's singing.

So good. A great classic. I recall many years ago Sir Peter Schilperoort of the Dutch Swing College Band referring to this tune as, "Every Baby Loves My Body" 😂

Faabulous! Just stumbled on this looking for Muggsy Spanier and Ugly Child. Tuba Skinny has made a permanent friend for sure. The horns and reeds take back seat to no one. Thanks again Internet, Columbus has nothing on you.

Arrived here due to my love of Boardwalk Empire & the particular club scene where this song is played. However, consider me a new converted fan. How fortunate y'all are to be able to enjoy such "cookin' kettle whistling" Jazz played the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Wild Bill, please note that someone has 'stolen' this video and has used it in one that he has put it up as his own (starting at 3 mins 12 secs) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6C0YZl8lpJ9oJY This is unethical and I think you should ask KZbin to remove it.

Check out the loose marbles version with tamar korn singing ... slower, more laid back, also including a sax, fiddle, drums, stand up bass, better vocals, but then again we're talkin' tamar korn ...a scat singer who takes a back sit to no one ..... 😎
