Lovely, sunny day in New Orleans, lots of happy people strolling around The French Quarter, and a great band playing to their hearts content, what more could you want. All I did was hold the camera. I enjoyed making this recording so much! I wish I could get back to New Orleans more often.

Just out of curiosity..does TS and the other bands in N'orleans have to apply to city hall for a section of street to be closed to through traffic for a certain period in order for them to play on a given day,or do they have a statute right by law. Seems to me they enjoy an enviable tolerance over there not shown in many countries.

I don't know for sure but I think New Orleans has a high tolerance for these artists. I heard bands are playing all over town. I think it is a way of attracting tourists.

Tuba Skinny are indeed a great band, but where do they practise and how do they get to gigs.Who splits the money up out of the tips bucket. If you play in a band, these are the things that have to be sorted. Who carries the PA. What time do we finish. Petrol money Who's turn is it for the beers? It all matters in a jazz band.
