It was so great to see Tuba Skinny again on a gorgeous evening in New Orleans for their first public show since early March. I think for just about everyone there it was the first live music seen since then as well.

@@davidmccabe4041 G'day David (although it is nightime here). So nice to read your reply. Yes, we have lovely Spring weather here, in Brisbane. Friends on UT are better than no friends or no contact at all...right?? Yes, Tuba Skinny give us all so much joy and enjoyment, especially in lockdown. Fortunately we are not in lockdown but not all of our borders are open, however, this is a containment method that I, for one, am happy to accept. Life is and will be different from now on - things change, it is just part of life. I hope that you have some hobbies but if not youtube offers many videos to learn great new pastimes....whilst listening to Tuba Skinny. Superb band! This recording of them is one of my favourites! Sound is really clear and the tuba bass line comes across so crisp! A clear solid bass line makes a big difference to a piece. Gives it depth and this is top! Big fan of trad jazz. Used to watch bands like this at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival in Princes Street Gardens and couldn’t get enough of it!
