I think I would have preferred to watch 5 minutes worth at normal speed and actual sound , without the dodgy music, & the camera point of view being just behind the driver to get an idea of what it is like as a driver

Hey, that's just the BBC putting in what they think you ought to be seeing and hearing, not what you want. Remember, we are not allowed to think for ourselves. (Not had a TV licence for 3 years, now. Have not had an actual TV since 2013.)

Dd you u know that Down Street is not the only abandoned tube station on the Piccadilly line? At 1:09, after leaving Osterley, you can see a platform on the left. That's the old Osterley station. At...I think it's about 2:48...between South Kensington and Knightsbridge, slow down the video and you'll find Brompton Road. At 3:44, there's one that's easy to find. That's York Road, between King's X St. Pancras and Caledonian Road. You can still find it on the tube today if you look closely out the window of the train. Please like this comment if I'm right.

I used to fly to Paris quite often in years gone by, and used this line from the airport as far as Hammersmith. The time in this train was usually more than the time spent in flight.

To those complaining about vision of the Driver's Camera in the lower left corner, or dark tunnels, please remember this is Time Lapse video. The full version, from my understanding as a male Melbourne Railway Enthusiast, age 50 in 2020, is the Piccadilly Line, in full duration would be about an hour or so. The BBC did very well in filming, compiling and condensing this video on the London Underground "Tube" Train Network.

WOWSERS!!! I like this video! Visiting the London Underground is one of the highlights on my bucket list! I may have to hit the pause button to see some of the factoids, but it is one fast fascinating look...and a unique introduction to the London system. I'm a fan of the New York Subway system, and seeing the line from an operator's view is becoming a thing of the past, especially with newer trains coming online. The R-32's and R-38's from the late 1960's may still be around, but they're living on borrowed time. Thanks for sharing this on KZbin!

Tip for everyone espacially non English native speaker: Put the speed to 0.75, the music isnt that great on every speed so it is okay and you can read the captions way better without stopping the video every time they pop on. PS: At the end 0.5 is more suitable.

@@pierferekatze2370 Many other cities subways are also much, much newer with all of these things thought of from the outset. Most of the London Underground system is 110+ years old. Sinking shafts to help with these things would be an incredibly expensive and complex operation given all the things sitting above the tunnels.
