Tubedepot Tubecube 7/APPJ PA0901A Re-branded

This small tube amp is fantastic for the price. Don't try to compare it with much more expensive ones as some did and that is unfair. With only 3.5 out watts (However I believe its real out put is just about 1 watt), it drives a pair of Castle Richmond III (88db1) with no problem. I feed it with a CD signal from a NAD CD player and the sound is clear and warm (though the recording is not good). Due to the use of a switch power supply, there is a little hum though, which should be addressed. Despite this, this is still a great little amp

I ran mine with a graphic equalizer I had laying around and was astounded by the results. No hum, great bass and low end, great treble. Made my speakers sound even better. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this.

I like what I am hearing. At least all tubes are being used better than the Sakura tube amp.

@@fmalloy1 It is technically an integrated amp. I have the Miniwatt N3 version, which appears to be identical, and I choose to you it with a tube preamp, but this does not seem entirely necessary. Bears in mind that if you use a a solid state preamp, you would be somewhat compromising the all tube experience.

I have one that's about 6 months old and it still works well. I have had a few blunders that could have damaged it, yet it still plays sweet sounding music.

I have one driving a pair of Castle Harlech S1 speakers. It does remarkably well on such large speakers.

An imitation of what? I have one of these and it sounds good especially when the tubes are upgraded to Tung Sol or Mullard.
