Now I understand why I go "wrong" with always using a "coloured chicken" and owning 50+ buzzers I never used. Best Video by far to explain how and just as importantly why to use buzzers.

After watching this video a couple years back, i use this technique (3 team) everytime i go to my local commercial all year round. It WORKS! Ive tripled my catch rate and caught by PB brown trout of 5lbs 4 and my PB rainbow of 19lbs 9 with this. Watch this over and over ladies and gents, you wont go wrong!!

I'm guilty of having a flay box with "half a chicken dyed in different colours". Great quote! This video really opened my eyes to the mistakes I have been making, although it sounds as if I am not alone. I'll be trying buzzers from now on. Really appreciate the video

Really good video!! I bought a box full of blank buster flies a few years ago and my catch rate went up significantly!!! Had good results with the spiders too when windy. The CDC's and the okey dokeys fall to bits after catching a few fish however but other than that highly recommended!!! Thanks for posting!!!

Fantastic Instructional Video. Reccomending a fly is one thing, but being shown how to fish them is outstanding. Buzzer fishing is something I have always wanted to learn about and this video gives me all the info i need to give it a go. Ordered some BBB from essential fly and their ebook to accompany this film. Thanks, more of the same please.

Thank you very much for the video, the information has been very helpful. Through trial and error I found that the warm water species here in South East Texas respond very well to nymphs and midges. Your video has helped me step up my game in the techniques of using these flies. Thanks again!

Great video can you use them all year round or is there a certain time of the year to use them?
@herbertgearing17026 жыл бұрын
We call them caddis flies and midges in Virginia. I've actually hooked a couple of them by their shells on beadheads that were down in the rocks.

If you're using a very long leader how do you play and land a fish hooked on the point fly?

What a wonderful video. I'm from the states and fish mostly western U.S. ( Montana, Wyoming and Oregon) lakes. Would these techniques work here? I currently fish wooly buggers on a sinking line and do quite well. I often fish may fly and may fly spinner imitations if I see hatches on top. This also works well. I think I'm missing out on chironomids, however. This could help if you think it could work here? Additionally, how do you cast three flys without a tangled mess?

Hi I'm new to fly fishing and after some advice. How long should my leader be and how thick? How long after the indicator should my leader be too drop two buzzers and what distance should they be fishing off a banking? How do I cast such a heavy rig with a fly rod? Sorry about the long paragraph

So buzzers are basically the same as emergers or are a type of emerger, is that accurate?
@Theessentialflyfishing4 жыл бұрын
Emergers are in the case of midges the last stage of change between the buzzer and flying midge as it hatches. Technically every type of fly has an emerger stage.

Can I suggest not letting the trout flay around on a wire mesh covered wooden platform if you're going to release them. Very informative video on buzzer fishing technique but handling skills maybe need working on

It's in north Nottinghamshire, its tiny and would not fish it again. Massive fish yes,but not sporting. Fine if you are large and want it easy. Nice chap running it.
