I’ve fished this place 20 years ago as a kid, I can barely remember it. What it’s like price wise for a days fishing now? I’m based in Liverpool so it’s deffo within reasonable travelling distance. I tend to fish north wales or Mere Beck by burscough

@@mdflyfishinguk5220 Hi MD, I’m going to go this week. I believe it’s closed Monday and Tuesday so I’d expect a stampede on the Wednesday. Would you say the Thursday is the quieter day to fish? I know it’s a very popular place but I’d rather fish it on the quieter days of there is such a thing here ?

Have you ever fished Barry's place at Avon Springs in Durrington, I was a regular when i lived just down the road. His stretch of the Avon river was full of big brownies.

Great video and commentary mate. I fish 5 local reservoirs, like you say. "Its good to get out"....i've had some forearm, elbow and now shoulder pains. I'll keep fishing as well though. Defo good to catch on your own home tied patterns.

The window of opportunity to get out has been short for me at this time of year with injury, heavy rain, fulltime work, snow days and tying flies for my sales page. But new videos are planned, because I've tied 2 large boxes of spring flies that need an outing and some screen time. So thank you for watching and keep well Regards MD

I fished same day buzzers and did well with all black size 12 buzzer with a silver cheek. Worked well catching 4 Brownies and 2 Rainbows

@@mdflyfishinguk5220 its just finding what's right on the day with buzzers. Colour, retrieve, depth, size all matter and make the difference between knicking a few and having a field day. If I don't get a pull/fish after 3 casts different retrieve n depths I change it until I do. Someday it just doesn't happen but that's fishing. Enjoy yours 👍

It's pennine trout fishery in Lancashire. Just off J21 of the M62, another one of my favorites is scout dike near Barnsley.

@Paul Johnson Two Novice Anglers check out the pennine facebook page and it will say on the pictures what people got the fish with. Most things work if you fish them correctly. I fish buzzers, midge, top hats, squirmy worms, eggs, etc. A lot of my videos are from pennine catching with different flies and methods.

@@pauljohnsontwonoviceangler6170 scout dike fishing is good, buzzers, wollies, fry patterns, fritz patterns. £15 8am to 8pm or £10. 2pm to 8pm. But they do allow any method, but loads of space for everyone. Facebook page is Barnsley trout club.
