I'm new to really following football and have been catching up on these weekly recaps over the past week to try to understand more of what's going on. Today I figured out what the Caleb Williams Sweepstakes were! I also learned how safeties are scored, that a touch-back occurs when a team fumbles the ball into the end zone, and the difference between a tight end and a wide receiver! I think I understand how the playoffs work and how the game schedule works during the regular season as well and am doing my best to learn as much of the history as I can. This is my favorite channel.

@@cdunmire_1 unfortunately the eagles are and always have been my team lol. Fortunately though the Raven's are my secondary team and yes! I had the Eagles game on one TV and the Ravens on a couple rooms away and I was running back and forth between every play lol. The Ravens reeeaaally had me wishing they were my #1 team because that game was so much more fun to watch than the Eagles absolutely flopping against the Cardinals, of all teams, but I felt like if two plays were happening at once I had to stay loyal to Philly in case something awesome actually happened. I'm glad they aren't playing simultaneously again this weekend!!

Yeah my mom grew up near Baltimore and my dad in Southwest Philly, but while my dad grew up with football being a huge part of his family culture, my mom's family was more into baseball. We love both teams though and I'm really looking forward to watching the Ravens in the playoffs! (I *do* look forward to watching the Eagles but the way things are going I don't anticipate them going very far. Next year could be a whole different story though!!)

Watching modern football is infuriating just how far away from common sense the offensive play calling has moved and the Titans/Falcons are a prime example of what I'm talking about. 1. Don't throw the ball in the red zone!! Obviously there are the very rare exceptions but if you get into the red zone you must run the ball because passing is hard to get away with. 2. No dedicated fullbacks!!!!! WTF is wrong with these so called coaches? 2b. Not enough use of the I formation. The I formation will always work because it makes the defense respond to it and play the box. The I formation is what created "the box" to begin with and the I formation gives your wide outs one on one matchups every single time! The Titans should run it 80% of the time if not more. You know who does run the I formation and have dedicated fullbacks? Off the top of my head the 49ers, the cowboys, and the dolphins.... Geeze Louise

I think the Jets defense deserves a lot more credit. Chiefs/Bills/Eagles & their QBs didn't deserve the hate for all the turnovers against them, and people should remember ALL teams are still NFL teams & can put up a fight. Broncos kept it close against the Chiefs again, the Browns without Watson beat the Super Bowl favorites, the Giants with Saquon + Tyrod Taylor look better than with DJ, and the Dolphins are good, but my god they sure got a nice schedule to beat up on the worst teams in the league... Dolphins are great, don't get me wrong, but their wins are against: Patriots (1-5) Broncos (1-5) Giants (1-5) Panthers (0-6) Chargers (2-4) The only decent team they played crushed them, so I still have no clue just how good the Dolphins truly are. Final Note: Glad you gave the entire Jags team credit. People like Nick Wright act like "The Prince" Trevor Lawrence is all there is, but that team is playing well in spite of Lawrence. He's playing average - pretty good, but it's entirely a team effort.

I dislike this time of year. We have formed Preconceived Nations of which teams are how good then get angry at reality for not conforming to our uninformed POVs. It affects our judgment. No matter how often we see coaching incompetence we still tell ourselves that all these teams are trying to win. The players, sure. No mplayer out there wants to think they need a Caleb to win. But explain what Sean Payton is doing then? Now onto something strange. I think I figured out what's wrong in CHI. I have a new theory. No one's gonna like it. Now that Bagent has played a few snaps & people have studied it though, this is looking correct. On 'Stick' the deeper receiver is supposed to draw defenders away & the QB is supposed to toss to one of the shallower receivers. Bagent didn't know this. ...because *Getsy & Co. don't know this.* They don't know anything in fact. This is what we're seeing everywhere on this offense. The o-linesmen have No Design for any non-direct attack by any d-line. They Do Not Adjust to extra rushers &/or double-block but let someone through. _Everyone_ on this Bears' offense is flailing as if they have no clue what to do, Davis included (& I'll ink the evidence if asked). It literally looks like what would happen if 12-year-old kids tricked their way into the NFL & are trying to keep the charade up by remembering the Correct Terms & names for plays but don't understand _how_ those plays are supposed to work. Fields doesn't know when to throw in anticipation because *they* don't understand that the plays they're calling _require_ that he throw with anticipation. That's why he stares around. Everything he sees he realizes he should have seen before, only he's going through his reads the Way They Tell Him To & is seeing everything too late. Bagent's style is simply different, gets rid of the ball a.s.a.p. But that he doesn't really know who he _should be_ throwing to shows that there is clearly no such knowledge being taught to them. How long does it take to teach a QB why not to throw to the deep receiver on 'Stick?' Four seconds? Getsy & Co. don't _have_ four seconds? Or do They Themselves not know anything more about the plays they are calling than what they're called? This is sad. Really sad. Moore does better because he has experience & is doing extra things that these coaches do not have the ability to teach.
