Acting note: Anger is one of the emotions that newer/untrained actors would go towards, but what they often end up doing is what’s called “playing a wash”, that is, playing an emotion without motive. Anger is most often the result of another emotion, you’re angry because you’re disappointed, angry because you’re sad etc. so when you try to portray that emotion without that depth, it comes across as hollow and unnatural.

I do feel like the story being based around Yazmin and Nadia as the main couple with Jai as the antagonist that is out for revenge on both of them would've made for a much better story. Like someone else said, it’s happening far too often to just be your imagination.
@100Stratusfiedx2 жыл бұрын
Lmao this is a low budget movie so I didn’t really notice it, but when it comes to big Hollywood movies it’s very noticeable. When a character is experiencing serious pain they cast a dark skin woman and when the character is the love interest it’s usually a light skin woman. When it’s time for a male character to be masculine and dominant they always cast a dark skin male. In movies and sitcoms the son is usually dark and the daughter is light skin or racially ambiguous.

It's interesting to hear your take on using "ghetto" as an adjective! I was just reading something for my Masters course, and the author made a similar point. Describing something that was "of the ghetto" isn't inherently offensive, more just accurate. People who live in ghettos/marginalized areas are often barred from accessing resources or are isolated from surrounding people beyond their area. Thus, they have to resort to other means to fill those needs or develop other ways to deal the stress of living life as a marginalized, often lower class person. However, it becomes offensive when "things of the ghetto" are assigned to a specific group within the ghetto, primarily Black people. The author used the example of a haphazard plumbing fix. It's accurate to say it's a "ghetto fix" because lower socio-economic people often can't afford the repair or don't have access to affordable plumbing services. But the use of terms like "n*word rigged" is not only deeply offensive but ignorant as it implies only Black people are impoverished while ignoring the institutional factors that perpetuate cycles of poverty for Black people and all races.

They made this movie here in Detroit and there’s a whole sub genre of movies like this and I actually know one of the actors me and him are good friends and I saw this movie in theaters at bel air theater when it premiered and I tried to get me to buy the book which I already pay 35+ dollars for the ticket and it was $39 for the book and apparently this was based off true events. Kendall I’m so happy that you found this and I hope that you continue to find more movies like this that’s made in our state that are very very bad because I have things to say please hit me up if you want to collab

Let's talk about how perfume just enhances the mood of everything. Because I recently bought like a 6 dollar perfume from Burlington coat factory just to try and it's AMAZING on me. I get so many compliments and people just loving be close by and hugging me. I got the same reaction with glossier you. I find warm and also neutral scents, sometimes earthy, sometimes clean perfume just work the best for me. But on my mom, floral spicy scents are just 💋👌 Or my brother, I got him a cologne I thought would compliment him and he freaked out with girls saying he smells good. Don't underestimate how powerful a good scent can make you, strong or hinted, it helps a lot with confidence. Edit: some other good scents to name are Clean Rain and Amber Romance. Such lovely scents!

Okay I haven't finished the video but after watching the very first part, I have to include this PSA: do not use those services that they connect you with that supposedly set up all your other services for you. They usually do not even work, they can be very expensive if they do work, and it's just a waste of time.
@CraziestDiamonds2 жыл бұрын
I mention this because I did this myself, and after I called my actual internet company and told them that my power company had connected me to one of these services, they said oh yeah we are not affiliated with them they often try to do that to get your money and most of the time it doesn't even work. Only get your services directly from the company.

Ooh, but I do love having Kennie say LGBTQunity while I’m completely out as bi/pansexual. Ooooh, it felt so nice this time. It doesn’t matter that my dad forgot, my mom exploded at me, and I can’t trust my brother for another decade at least for other shit. It’s been several months and tons of weekly trauma therapy appts since then. A glass of wine helped untwist the nerves in my gut, and I felt so genuinely happy at hearing “LGBTQunity.” It was real fuckin’ nice. It felt like a big, warm hug with Kennie and both the fan and gay communities 🥰🤗
