Man's listening to Spotify while making SandPond tutorials, content creation at a leisure! Also, binging through the Saga after watching the Automata video and thoroughly enjoying it!!

Haha yes! I made videos quite a bit differently back then :) Enjoy the binge! The saga definitely changes quite a lot over time! I hope it's fun to see the journey!

You should try making compressed versions of these, the compressed versions if given the opportunity will try to move twice as fast, however they will move at a normal speed if there is a wall blocking. The compressed versions will also be able to move just a little bit upwards defying gravity, each frame the compressed version can split off a single normal one into its previous position, and the way the compressed versions would appear is from two atoms getting pressed into each other, for instance rather than simply swapping places with water, sand would compress the water under it, however in the process that means that water can shoot out the sides away as a clump of sand falls in.

Also potentially make it to where a high enough amount of compression can overcome things like sand compressing it more, which of course wouldn't make the sand unable to sink through the water, it would just give off more resistance.
