I am glad someone enjoys this movie as much as I do. I wanted to find out whatever happened to the actress that was in the movie so I sent an email to whom I thought it would be. It was kind of fun trying to find her on the internet. She replied back!! She only ever did this one movie when she was just starting high school and said it was a memorable experience. She became a successful lawyer and still practices today.

So he sees the turtle , puts it on the grass on the other side of the road , and last scene is of the turtle , who had turned back around, headed out towards the road again. It seemed even the turtle had grown weary of the living and was just going back and forth across the road , hoping for a truck or car to bring it to it's final end , and never reaching it. How awful that would be !! Thank God for Heaven and living in our buff glorified bodies !

Miles has been where it's at for me, even when I was younger. Yeah Jesse is cute, but a baby face isn't always attractive to me, especially one without even a little facial hair, as Jesse. I'm 30 now, so I'm still young.

The part where Jesse is working the merry-go-round, is one of my favorite moments ever in any film. When he speaks to the little girl, she for a moment somehow reminds him of when Winnie! Reminding him of his sadness.

I got the implication that she was Winnie’s descendent and he was beginning to suspect it and realize it.

I would have drank the water because then Jesse wouldn't have been lonely and I think Winnie would have been happy w him - really sad she didn't and glad I watched the movie instead of reading the book all over again. My teacher read this to my class in 6th grade once and I only just remembered a few things and forgot about hating the ending. loved the movie overall but I had no idea it was so old I mean the 1981 film that means the book 's even older, just a few years older than my big brother.

if you would have drank the water then you don't really understand what the message of this story is.
@shygirl29278 жыл бұрын
Spellbinder what is it? the people you love live their lives and die while you, an immortal, cannot go with them? I get that but I still disagree, being immortal wouldn't be that bad especially if you had someone to spend all that time with and even more so when you know they understand how you feel.
@nwojunkie8 жыл бұрын
shygirl2927 you only get one life, so everything you do must mean something special to you, but if you live forever than eventually you'll grow world weary and haggard about life, spending your days longing for the sweet kiss of death to take you away and end the horrible existence you call immortality only for nothing to happen.
@shygirl29278 жыл бұрын
Spellbinder yeah I still disagree. i'd be immortal so tuck wouldn't have to be alone. and I don't believe I missed that at all. i'd say that's a more specific way of saying what I said but it's still the same. I would still drink the water.

THANK YOU so much for making this possible!!!! I wonder why they waited so long to come back for Winnie? I'm sure the town would have burned her at the stake long before for not aging. I figured they'd be back for her in a few years. Would you have drank the water?????
@Kementiri12 жыл бұрын
I would have drank the water because I am afraid of death to be honest. I have NO idea why they waited so long to come back. Maybe because of the sheriff thing and then they had to go on the run from the law.

I am so thankful for the poster to put this on the tube. Being originally from Medina, NY. I remember the shot coming up from the canal basin and the glimpse of Medina Parts. It was pretty exciting waiting for this 4 - 5 second shot. I'll have to watch the entire film soon. Thanks again.
