If your kids were around like 14 years ago, I’d set up a play date with the dog my parents had. He was a mix , Golden and Lab name was Sam and he had a lightning bolt shape on his back. He lived up to 11. He had a tumor pressing against his ribs. Parents couldn’t afford it at the time. He lived a good life and was a besty to my dog who turned 14 in April.

My very dark golden started to get grey after his 5th birthday. Usually I can say if they're under 5, looking at their snouts if they started to get grey or not. My golden just passed away 5 days ago. He was almost 16 years and 6 months old minus 2 weeks. i hoped he would go by himself but his heart was very strong However his hindlegs were useless and the morning we called the doctor,he had a seizure . It was heartbreaking.But, we buried him in a gorgeous place, a cemetery for pets in Läufelfingen, Switzerland. A place that probably looks like heaven must look. He will be resting in peace there, I'm sure.
