El Antojo Pobalano is the best new one. Mole specialty, but great overall. Only downside is lack of alcohol license. And a super popular must for breakfast is Barista del Barrio. It is located on Grande in the Hollywood Barrio. The chorizo breakfast burritos are superb as is the coffee with hocho. Teresa's Mosaic Café is a west side great, tucked behind a McDonalds. If a visitor has gone to Gates Pass for sunset, then this is a fine place to wind up.

Just had Teresa’s for the first time about a month ago amazing. 10/10 barrista del barrio really good too.. Antojo poblano was a let down only because of the rice and tortillas & also they didn’t have saudero which was what I was excited to eat.

Agree 100% w/these choices! On the East side, El Sur on 22nd is outstanding--great service, Enchiladas del Sur & fish tacos to die for, & the servers will bring onions & jalapeños to your plate at no charge 🌮🌶️😋

In a YT short, you mentioned Casa del Rio at 1060 South Pantano Road on the East side. The two dishes to get there are Chili Relleno and Chimichanga de Machaca enchilada style. Calle Tepa Mexican Street Grill at 6151 E Broadway Blvd has terrific Mexican Street Tacos that are quite filled full to suit American tastes. Then, for Sopa de Albondigas, Los Nopales at 2475 S Harrison Road, again on the East side, has a delicious version.

Old School Style Guerrermo's in South Tucson. Yes, the newer BK Tacos with that great salsa bar and El Chingada for a Mexico City style dining with great moles. My favorite chile rellenos are from Rosa's.

I was about to say that the best Mexican food in Tucson are in Mexican family homes. As for which restaurant is best, it depends on what you're getting. Chili colorado? Chili Verde is one of the best, so it's Paco and Mom's. Mi Nidito's is an overall great place. For tacos find one of the taco shops aimed town. Fur Sonoran hotdogs, STAY AWAY FROM EL GUARO CANARO!!! Find a taco truck that has Sonoran hotdogs. I haven't been to El Baraco's so i can't comment. I haven't been to Rollie's either. Paco And Mom's is really good for their authentic food. For great Sonoran style Mexican El Molinito's in Speedway is one of my favorites. They have really good Chili Colorado or red chili. They have great enchiladas, tacos, burritos, chili rellenos, everything I've had there was really good, but i think they're going out of business, which is very sad. For Mexico City style Mexican food, go to La Parrilla Suisa's, I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong, but tete really good. The absolute best Mexican food i have ever had was my wife's grandmother's food. That food was absolutely to die for. The best tamales, frijoles, rice EVERYTHING! Sadly, she took all of her recipes to her grave.
