Hi Charlie, many years ago I met you at my father's carwash in Chelsea. We had a great time talking about music and life and I remember being touched by your sincere kindness. Within a year I was at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa and you and Joe Perry were playing in our auditorium. I remember that you brought me backstage after the concert and introduced me to Joe and the band and we hung out a bit and you were again very kind. And seeing you in this video after so many years, it is no surprise that you are still a great musician and obviously still one of the good guys. God bless you man! Chip Doherty

He took genuine time to talk with you and make you feel like you were no different than him. Brad was as down to earth and a normal guy. Very nicely done video. great video. glad the family said yes, and allowed this song to come to fruition. i remember brad saying he had found out about john lennon's death as many did, from howard cosell on monday night football. we are slowly getting bits and pieces of brad's unreleased material from various sources, friends, colleagues, what have you. in my opinion, for whatever reason, he never got his writing due in boston. it's tom scholz's baby, of course, but to think how much more material boston could have released if brad was enabled to be more involved. brad lamented that he wasn't more proficient on guitar, but ironically, tom said brad was the best musician he ever heard. well, at least, on a mainstream commercial level, we had brad's work with rtz, barry goudreau's solo record, and orion.

Wow. Very touching. I remember that evening when John Lennon was killed, and felt exactly the way Brad did for days. It felt like my generation's "Day the Music Died". Boston was at the height of their popularity and I loved them, and maybe their albums helped me see that music was still alive. I didn't feel that sadness and loss for a music idol again until I heard that Brad Delp was gone. Thanks, Charlie, for resurrecting this tune. Shout out to Ajax, Karyadi and Greg, Michael and Joe, beautiful storytelling.

He recorded a solo record in 85 or 86 at Synchro sound. I saw the masters in the tape room in summer of 87 and I begged the engineer to play them for me but he wouldn't.
