the reason people are interested in hypoclorous acid, is you can buy a $10 usb fob on a wire, and make it with a spoon of table salt, a jar of water, and maybe a little vinegar to salt the NaOH that results when you split the NaCL to NaOH/ClOH. Its a cheap/infinite disifectant you can DIY, but it's only stable for a few days, but since you can make it for almost free in 5 mins, it doesnt seem too bad. I just havent tried it, and have some concerns about what it will and will not kill.

Thanks. I might give it a try one day, but my contam usually comes from my low quality agar ingredients. LOL

Ed I heard u mention the price of fresh cordyceps over there being around $3 a pound, wow that is awesome. Over here there they go for around $20 per pound dried in the closest city to me. I grow them seasonally but more for fun than anything else.
@edwardgrandАй бұрын
That was the fresh price. So I reckon it would be about $30/pound dried. I don't think anyone is gonna make money off them now. I don't even make money of the 'exotics' now that these assholes keep putting out videos about mushroom growing. LMFAO

Popcorn is such shit nutrition. I know it's quick but IME the fruits don't have that kick that slower, heartier fruits grown on higher nutrient grains have(brown rice, oat, millet..) you can do drippy tech with all those grains. It's just glucose supplementation. Someone tell me why corn is superior?!
@edwardgrandАй бұрын
Potency is not the goal for many cultivators. Every grain has it's pros and cons. Glucose supplementation will not affect potency. I think you might want to look at the bigger picture.
@BentwambusАй бұрын
@edwardgrand it's not cheaper than whole oats, I'm trying to view the bigger picture but it's more expensive than some and while I have found popcorn supplemented with glucose grows quick, sometimes quicker isn't always better. IME they lack the punch that the slower colonizing grains have produced. Im not trying to start an argument I'm generally curious why corn is popular currently
@BentwambusАй бұрын
@edwardgrand you yourself has said if Shaquille O'Neil didn't eat right he wouldnt be where he's at today. genes only play a part, nutrition is important so why feed your mush(which I understand has low nutritional requirements) the lowest nutrient grain there is? Corn has non-existent nutrition compared to rice, oat, millet. I'm generally curious I don't mean to come off as pretentious so I apologize if this came out rude

@@Bentwambus Popcorn is food grade and readily available. It's a lot less suspicious than walking in a housing complex with a 50# bag of oats.

@@Bentwambus You can also buy it with EDC and eat it if you give up on the Mycology hobby.
