That would be great! I will start planning the commune :) Seriously though, I have given thought to making some kind of retreat for like-minded individuals. I would love to have a big ol' mushroom-based place for people to chill and learn.

After a month of dialing in the tent, I am thoroughly happy. Seems like the incontinence pads, air inlet, fan speed, timing, etc. just needed to be tweaked. Definitely making my job a lot easier. I'm too old to be bending over and doing a lot of physical manipulation. ;)

go Ed go! That steal magnolia is looking beautiful. I'm still working through the last batch of spores but odpe X shakti is looking like a banger. thankyou for showing all of the hiccups its good to know that even the best of us have issues. Saturns are being little bastards for me. my clone wants to make tinny blobs . i think have to go back to spore and pheno hunt again

Some of the new babies seem to need time to adjust to their new homes. I almost always clone the first good fruit these days from multispore to make sure they like my setup on subsequent runs. I have learned more from sharing and discussing my mistakes than my successes! And I love that it helps others.

I would think the outside airflow would zap the humidity. I have a 4x4 with a fogger and a small inside fan. I would like to bring in filtered outside air instead. Thanks for sharing Ed!
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
I only have my 4" inline fan on for 5 minutes every 2 hours. The fan is only only at like 25% using a dimmer switch. I also have all the flaps/doors/vents closed in an effort to keep in the humidity, but slowly allow the gas to 'diffuse' out. A 4x4 might be a bit more sensitive to humidity changes. Have you tried the incontinence pads/diaper tek? Diapers are the ONLY humidification I have in the tent.
@davescroggins6397 Жыл бұрын
@@edwardgrand I have them in there as well. I spray them on occasion, but once I set up the fogger I left them in there with the thought that they would absorb the ambient humidity and help with retention. May be overkill 🤷🏻♂️. Starting to get colder here, so I may try without the fogger and just saturate the pads and keep the 🍄 warm.

I think my Albino Huautla issue was a bad batch of spawn. I stopped misting my shoeboxes. That seems to have cleared it up with other cultigens.
@smokenjoe001 Жыл бұрын
@@edwardgrand oic, that helps. Ill try that, thank you sir! I have been increasing the air flow inside the tent. Thinking it may have been a c.o.2 issue but I will also stop misting to see if that helps. The air flow has not helped me, lol

Hello Ed so although the TP shoebox “fizzled out” out as you put it, are the fruits still good to consume ?

Yes. They are fine. But just like any other consumable, we shouldn't eat anything that smells bad or looks rotten.

@@edwardgrand what size? Do You cut them to fit your tub?
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
@justinilardi3689 Not sure what size. I get two liners out of one bag. I cut them in half, put it in loosely, fill the shoebox, make it firm, and then use a really sharp knife to trim off the excess.

Is the inline fan to positively add clean air and is it necessary?
@edwardgrand Жыл бұрын
I think a bit of new air is necessary. I ran for about a month, hoping me opening the door twice a day would suffice, but I was getting dead air spots in the tent. I only have it set for ON 5 minutes every 2 hours. It really seems to help. I also only have it set at about 25% full speed with a dimmer switch.

What kind of led do you run?
@edwardgrand11 ай бұрын
I just have a bunch of strip LEDs. Cool white, warm white, multi-color. It doesn't really seem to matter. I just use them so I can see and tell the babies which way to grow.
@Houseofmycology11 ай бұрын
@@edwardgrand do you know if they have to be a certain wattage?
@edwardgrand11 ай бұрын
It really doesn't matter. If you can see what you are doing, that is enough. Mine run off 5V phone chargers, so I doubt the wattage is very high.@@Houseofmycology

4x8 feet. It's like 6'7" high. Good for three Martha style shelves inside. If I had more room, I'd do an 8x8, but not sure the diaper tek would be enough humidity?
