Dereck, I loved your words about Tom Petty. He´s one of my all time favorite musicians. He and his music mean the world to me and still I´m so sad and devastated about his passing - just can´t believe it! Thank you for that beuatiful tribute! It´s just frightening and horrible what´s going on at the time. Yesterday´s massacre in Vegas leaves me completely speechless! Least you received my package safe and sound and in one piece which sure is a slightly cheering up for both of us. I´m so glad you like all the records I sent. I knew they´re gonna end up in the perfect home. I didn´t notice the Canibalism LP stuck in a german cover. I once heard sometimes records were delivered in import sleeves. Some had an import sticker. Haha, I just wanted you to have a vinyl copy of The Fetch. So glad you like it this much, Linda really outdid herself on this one. The interwiev I once found online and safed on my PC. Very interesting to read. Honestly I had no idea the Soundtracks album was a genuine 1st press, I thought it was an early repress so that´s really awesome!! Thanks for talking about the CD I packed in too. Musicially it sure isn´t a 10/10 haha, the lyrics mostly are quite personal I have to say. Thanks for the nice shoutout, have a good time my friend! -Ben

Dereck, Love your commentary show. I started listening back in 2015. You introduced me to Gong and Can. I believe you showed a photo of Daevid Allen and you from along time back. I love learning about obscure music and lost musicians. Thanks Richard Pereira

Last dance for Mary Jane popped into my head for no reason Sunday morning, hmm. I remember playing Tom Petty tunes in a cover band in 1980, very sad.

I have an album that ended up with a double label. It was by Spanish band Bloque with their self-entitled debut from 1978, released on the Chapa Discos label. One day I noticed the label on side one peeling off, only to find out it was just a double!

I own a few Vertigo swirl LPs, but only a handful are UK pressings as the UK pressings have really gone up in price in recent years. For UK swirls I own Manfred Mann's Chapter III's debut (earliest Vertigo LP I own), Ramases' Space Hymns, Gentle Giant's Acquiring the Taste, and the first Gracious! LP. Other swirls I own include Beggars Opera's Waters of Change (German pressing) and Pathfinder (strange one: UK cover with the fold out cover with German LP), Agitation Free's Malesch, the debut from Atlantis, and some American Vertigo swirls of Jade Warrior's Released and Last Autumn's Dream and Aphrodite's Child's 666. The cover to my copy of Space Hymns is pretty trashed, but it still folds out, the disc is playable but pretty crackly. I was able to acquire the UK swirl of Acquiring the Taste for only $20, in 2015! I couldn't believe I was able to find it at that price so recently. It usually goes ten times that amount these days. The cover had a couple of pen marks as well as on the label, disc plays fine, with some crackles. The synthesizer-dominated title track has this whooshing glitch that starts the piece that you find on all later pressings, but that glitch isn't found on the original UK swirl pressing. I should know because I also own a later American spaceship pressing of Acquiring the Taste which has that glitch. I also own the first two Mythos LPs as originals, debut on Ohr, Dreamlab on Kosmische Musik.

To Derek or any interested parties: How do you feel about reissued records? I am looking for my favorite albums but I can't afford the originals but the re-pressings are affordable. Thanks in advance.
