Great video. We are going in January, but we are wondering about the island, in more recent videos, not yours, the island isn't shown? Is the island still there?

Patrick, Unfortunately the island was taken away buy the hurricane that hit in 2020. They had back to back to back storms and the island became more of a peninsula.

Good evening Randy and Lisa, I notice you do a lot of travelling at Karisma properties 😁. May I ask what is your favourite property of theirs and why? We've been members for 12 years and seen a lot of cutbacks over the years in service and food quality. Seem's now (El Dorado Royale and Casitas) are more focused on large wedding parties now that the quiet feeling is just not there anymore. Very loud and MUCH younger crowd nowadays. that said, we've tried Maroma once about 4 years ago and found it quite relaxing, so we're gonna try Maroma again next month for a week. Did the Palafitos as well, very nice but a little long for a week imo. Keep up the great videos you keep posting :)))). cheers

Marty Lebi, thanks for the post! Yes we are avid Karisma supporters especially of the El Dorado brands. I would agree wiht you in regards to the clientele change at El Dorado and Casitas Royale. For just good relaxation our favorite is either El Dorado Maroma or El Dorado Seaside Palms. The main reason for both resorts is the staff. Secondly they both have a much smaller feel to them and the clientele seems to be more in our age bracket. We still stay at the Royale a lot but mainly because we host a lot of our music groups there. Hopefully we will get to meet you there sometime. Can you tell me where would you go for breakfast and lunch? Any of the restaurants?How was the wind by the beach?

Well, for breakfast you have the choice of Mio's or Lima Lemon. As soon as they get Pepitas' rebuilt you will have that option as well For lunch you have those same restaurant's plus Bar 24 and the same Pepitas' once it re-opens. The wind all depends on the time of year and the the un-guessable weather patterns. We was down this past week and Sunday-Tuesday was not windy just a breeze, then Wednesday thru Friday was very windy????? Have you been to the Riviera Maya before?

@@2GetawayTravel yes at Bahia Akkumal- Mexico is a direct flight and easiest fir me to get to from Calgary but Mexico’s weather and water with beaches worries me -

The wind and red flags of the water and the seaweed- and cool weather at night - in Akkumal at night we needed hoodies and of course had none- I know it’s warmer than Alberta winters but Hahhah is rather just have a wrap on - I’m also nervous about trying a new resort
