Met Tuff years ago at Iowa State Fair when he was in his hey day. I was walking with my daughter thru the horse barn when she stopped and pointed with a smile and said that's Tuff daddy. He heard her and came over and talked to her. Made her day. He was a really nice guy.

Lane Frost was my classmate in Atoka Okla in 1982. He was the nicest person on the planet. In the 2 years I knew him, I never once saw him without a smile on his face. I was in a rock and roll band and he was in a group we called Goat ropers. RIP friend. Your legacy lives on forever.

Hey, I'm a metal head. I don't know much about country cowboy shit. But, my dad took us to rodeo 's when I was younger, and I got to see lane and tuff, and boy lane could cowboy up, and ride, like slayer could play metal. Lane, damn sure the best I ever seen on a bull. Rest in peace.

Feb 1994 my grandmother passed away and Gary Leffew just finished helping with the movie 8 seconds. My cousin Jimmy Vann was one of Gary's students and this movie fired up something inside of him to ride again. Jimmy would tell me about Lane and his kids holding his kids on his shoulders so they could see Lane ride. Anyways April 1994 Jimmy decides to go back to bull riding at 33 years old and drew a bull called Silverado in Red Bluff California, and the bull spun coming down on Jim's chest breaking a rib that went through his heart he stood up raised his right arm up in the air took 3 steps and fell face first in the dirt just like the movie. My cousin Jim was dead. He died doing what he loved and I'll see him one day in heaven because Jim took Jesus as his savior. Rodeo on boys Rodeo on

It was a rough day and night for all of us CFD after that for me was never the same! But more history and Facts a 🇺🇸 USA Air Force Thunderbird pilot died almost near the Statue of Lane Frost in Frontier Park... a Hero ! T-38 Flamed out on Takeoff 🛫 and the pilot and his incredible skills to... clear. The campers and Trailers and crashed into the Bull Pen killing a Bull and the pilot ejected and flew a considerable distance sideways to the Left of the aircraft and hit a hot dog 🌭 stand and stopped by the fence where Lane Frost statue is! I have more, but that’s all I am going to say about that

I was driving truck back then. I was going thru Cheyenne wishing that I had gotten there a little earlier so I could have went. So I had stopped for a break in Cheyenne and had started out on last leg of trip to SLC, UT. I was listening to the radio when they came on they air and told us about Lane Frost. I was a big rodeo fan you understand, when that was announced, I just had to pull off the road for a little bit to I guess just gather myself up. Lane Frost was the man! I followed him quite a bit. His rides on I think it was Red Rock and Yellow Jacket. Memory not very good but I think that was just a couple of the bulls.

I lost a buddy T.R. in 1990 to a bull ridin accident at the highschool finals and then I lost another buddy Shawn a couple years later in another bull ridin accident, loosing both of them tore me up and scared the hell out of me so I quit riding bulls right after that. To hear him talkin about ridin the next week is a testiment to the man he is! I have so much respect for this man I cant even explain! He stood up for me at a rodeo in Loveland Colorado in the 90's when Ty Murray was chewin my ass for being in the way on the back of the chutes during the bull ridin when I was a kid. Tuff is one hell of a man and I will always look up to him, he will forever be an idol of mine!

I lived not even 5 miles away from Mr. Mrs Frost. I got to speak to Clyde once and he always talk about how Lane had a sparkle in his eye that was contagious almost. And that's what inspired me to ride in highschool. Made some good friends along the way. Mason Lowe was a good friend of mine. So Tuff I understand the pain of losing not only a road partner but someone who was so close that they are like a brother to you. My parents named me after Lane Frost. They were at the rodeo when he died. They said the place erupted when he finished the ride but when he collapsed they said you could hear a pin drop from 100 miles away because it was so quiet. Met Tuff in KC years ago on Halloween. I was in the Army at the time. Dressed up as a rodeo clown and sure enough I ended up in the same hotel with him and a bunch of riders drinking whiskey and listening to one play the guitar. These guys were my childhood heros. God bless em!

Was amazed when I heard Tuff say he and Lane Frost first met as teenagers. They were at a rodeo in my hometown of Yakima Washington.

Wow so Tuff turned to Jasper from Lonesome Dove for support. I named my son Lane but because he died but for how he lived Long live Cowboy’s and God Bless Lane and Tuff they made me start rodeoing and had the best time of my life I actually met Tuff and Ty at a rodeo I was at in Kissimmee Florida I was happy and nervous at the same time when you are riding against your heroes
