Bones ain't concrete. Bones have an elasticity to them where concrete does not. Shooting rocks and concrete blocks and shit is fucking stupid and not a good test at all. That's a good question. They are excellent in terms of straightness, FOC, and durability on hard impacts, due to their solid construction and thin walls. I've also used Easton Hexx with a 75 gr brass insert and 5" of an aluminum shaft epoxied over the end as a footer--and they were very durable as well. Is it worth it the cost? That's up to each person's individual budget I suppose. They're better, no doubt...but "worth it" is very relative.

@@LuskArcheryAdventures what is the shaft and component weight of your FOC king? I considered them, but got kinda lost since they are very specialized compared to other arrows. If what I understand is right, their gpi is really low but they can handle heavy heads without their spine breaking down too badly. And you can add the inner rod to increase the spine again while maintaining weight forward if the spine is a little weak. With the Bishop components, what would a 300 grain head on a 29” shaft look like FOC and weight wise?

Oh funny. You're the first person to ever share that. Seriously, a zero penetration test is a good test of a heads durability and structural integrity. I've had heads get more damaged on a hog's hip bone than on a cinder block. And this test prompted the owner of the company to examine these heads and found they were the incorrect hardness. There was a mistake in the hardening process; they were 48 Rockwell, and not the 55 that they're supposed to be.
