perth has so many positives that being a dull or boring place doesn't bother me. i don't find it all that boring and dull anyway. there are many things to do and see in perth. its a physically beautiful place and i always find that satisfying. not many modern cities around the world allow nature to share the space. perth does it well. kings park bushland in the centre, the amazing beaches on the west, this small islands off the coast, the hills forests on the eastside, suburban lakes and bushland reserves, the vast and winding river areas and the four seasons weather. to have all that plus your regular city spoils that you basically get in every other city, all i can say is that it is simply awesome. a great place to live and be happy.

The vid was funny, well produced, & well done. But I have to take issue with the majority of comments here. I lived in Perth for 7 years and returned to the UK for family reasons. Perth is one of the most beautiful cities in Australia, a climate most countries in the world would die for and blessed with clean pristine beaches many third world (and developed countries) would be hard pressed to match. Geez, what's your problem people? What on earth constitutes boring?? It's out there, get outside!
@KS-fz7hh3 жыл бұрын
Guess it's mostly resolving around people who are boring i.e. need more malls, bars and hip coffee shops, because they need constant stimulation they can spend money on. If that is given, people label a place boring not noticing the boredom comes from the inside.
@blehblah93092 жыл бұрын
Boring is going camping but having to sit all night through awkward, stilted conversation with people I barely knew at the camp fire, because Perth banned all alcohol off-sales over Easter and my local friends forgot to plan for this 🙄

KHGuitarFreak1988 Except Perth has been booming for close to 15 years now, and Western Australia (of which Perth is the capital) is carrying the entire Australian economy with its mining boom. Western Australia is one of the richest states in Australia, but you'd never know it, since it never gets the headlines overseas.
@KHGuitarFreak198811 жыл бұрын
dingo7055 I guess I could have made myself clearly. Detroit was booming for a number of consecutive decades from the car industry. Sure, we could argue day and night about how the global economy works differently back then than it is now. I doubt however you can still say Western Australia is "still booming" right now. Unless you reckon buying block after block of houses is considered a "boom"...

Perth historically was a town where colonials sought to live with the assumed haughtiness of London. Add that heritage to floods of new settlers particularly over the latest mining boom, you have aliens and snobs living together in sterile boxesxwhere brick paving rules. For working class people its revolting, living cheek by jowl with the huge marginalised sector of Perth. Australia has lost it, low skill, high ignorance.
