Good skill from both, The tall guy was relaxed with good listening skills, and was being respectful to their guest.

A lot of energy being expended for little results. I think the student actually did better at conserving and moving more efficiently

Thanks Tim, I do not know what would have happened if I got into him more violently, but I get the impression that he was in a hurry.

@@WutanSevillaDosHermanas that was you? Nice work. It looks like his ego takes over. I don't know him but his intent reminds me of some people I train with. If they don't dominate they get hostile and throw themselves at you. I find its best to politely withdraw from people like that. There is a difference between a hard roll and someone being belligerent.

yes i'm me. yes i'm sure that his ego his very high. Effectively I felt that I did not control and it was becoming more and more violent. I just wanted to stop and he became more nervous. In short, an opportunity to learn and try with someone of your level. Thank you.

If he's not calm and efficient, how did he took down and not took down by someone whose weightclass is obviously several times above him? If you studied the classic of Taijiquan, it never mention you need to be passive or stating any kind of aggressiveness is unwanted(unless of course, it makes you tense or lose your cool).

Nice relaxed slap wrestling. No dan tian or jin anywhere to be found.

i have no idea how this guy can be a high ranking representative of the Chen family taichi,in every video that Ives seen him in he treats his training partners like a bully and not a teacher. The purpose of any training sessions in any form of martial arts is to help one another to get better not to impose your will and your might on them just to prove your the superior person. This guy acts like a egotistical maniac and not as a very high ranking master of the Chen village,if i was a taichi instructor he wouldn’t be invited to my school, because I would only want instructors who could teach minus the nasty ego.

Only this guy is willing to step up and spar with students, all other taichi masters are all conmen with no true fighting skills and will be destroyed. Taichi is BS, you may as will train wrestling. Chen village is a village of taichi conmen.
