Great adventure. Sir, your carburetor capillaries and passages might be clogged due adulterated fuel. Open an clean it properly. What you changed is the main fuel jet ( the brass screw with a hole ) what it screws into is an atomiser, there are tiny air passages around it which could be clogged. There is another circuit in the carburetor for idle and slow speed ( that you adjust through the recessed screw from outside) that also can get clogged. You tube a bit for more info. Contact the manufacturer service in India, they could help you. Running without air filter will kill your engine very soon. These vehicles run in himalayas with ease. So high aptitude is not the problem.

@aussieespanol maybe just an add on if you could find a screen, mesh or maybe even a bit of thin t-shirt with an elastic Band, or a very tight Zip tie or something. There is alot of suction there so you must make sure whatever you put there is not going to get sucked in. Anything to stop larger stuff, if you get a small stone in there its all over. Running with no filter will have you doing a Rebuild very soon. Love everything, good luck.

Love your vids. Definitely look forward to your content every week. As a 1st time dog owner, Patty is very well behaved and certainly bonded with you. I would advise that you work on a few commands such as Come or Stay. You want to be able to call her back to you immediately if you or her get into trouble. Also, you dont want her to chase an animal and get into trouble. You need her to obey the come when you ask and stop running and stand still when you need her. I'd suggest spending some time with positive reinforcement every evening for a while. Keep it up.

G'day Mate Another great video Completely removing the air filter is a big no-no Dust in the engine will wear out the piston, rings, and bore prematurely and destroy the engine I'd be fitting a new clean filter or finding out if there's a high flow option Then, look at where the air enters to reach the filter and increase the size of the opening to allow as much air as possible to the filter It sounds like you still don't have the carburettor set up correctly for the altertude Anyway, safe travels Keep up the great videos Cheers buddy
@aussieespanol Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s all a bit of a mess back there for sure. Other mechanics told me I should at least have a dish sponge if I don’t have the air filter. The air filter I was using was brand new 😢 tuk Tuks just shouldn’t be where I am I think 😅
@fjlthycruisertouringaustralia Жыл бұрын
I'd hate to see you stranded somewhere remote because the engine fails prematurely due to running no air filter I'd definitely be looking for a better option If there's an inclosed air box that the filter sits in, cut an entire wall out of the side that the air enters to get as much air flow as possible to the filter

I know this would be a big undertaking but you should consider turning this into a multiple feature lengths for travel film festivals. It could help with funding, equipment, fixers, etc. All of which will probably be needed for your Darien crossing.

When you're in Canada try the Banff to Jasper highway. It might be further inland than you want, depends if you want to stay close to the coast, but it has some of the best views in the country. Although the same could be said for most of western Canada, you can't really go wrong. Especially if you are more of the nature type. Good luck my man. Cute dog

I wonder if you can install a 12v fan to pump hot air from the engine compartment into the cab. Along as the exhaust is safely routed out the back of the tuk tuk it's commonly done on like polaris side by sides like the rzr

I think you need to splurge on a better quality carburetor that has more adjustable features regarding air/fuel adjustability. Maybe even a turbocharger, yes there are turbochargers for small engines. I would suggest you look into getting a heater installed (like a radiator) in the cab. Winter is coming & it does get cold.
@naushadnizamudien3449 Жыл бұрын
That vehicle use keihin carburetor which is very tunable. I think the two atomisers in to the two jets screws into are clogged up. These tuktuks run easily in himalayan mountain region with ease, so altitude may not be the only issue.

You asked for feedback: I dig your videos and your positive vibes, but you have to work on your production. Its a bit "stale" sometimes, It would be cool if you would put in some more transition shots, some music, and maybe sometimes just some nature/drivingshots where you don't talk. I just think it would add a bit more of a "dynamic flow" into your videos. Keep it up though, I enjoy your stuff!
