Mate, just be aware that when you head to Rio on the main highway you'll cross bit of a mountain range, coming down the other side you'll be on a fairly steep decline for 20- 30 kms. Work out now if your tuk tuk can do engine breaking so that you don't suffer brake fade, or you'll have to pull over every 5 minutes to let the brakes cool off IF there are places to pull over! Its a double lane motorway. Alternatively you could go round the coast. Have a good one!
