Not only should Seawind send you the correct pistons but they should explain why they put the wrong ones on the windows in the first place. Do Seawind boats come with a warranty?

Amazing, isn’t it? You’d think their QC department would be working overtime on a boat they’re releasing to a KZbin channel with over 200,000 subscribers!

Those items are pretty cheap, and receiving some from Vietnam would increase cost more than necessary, but maybe Seawind should compensate them back vs send out new ones.

I agree u pay a million dollars for a boat of that caliber and u can’t open your windows?? Why is this even a conversation, Seawind should provide the parts and send someone to install them, if they drop the ball on something so minor I’d hate to see what happens when there’s a major issue, atleast Billy is a problem solver!!!

I am not usually a safety Sally. Just be mindful that your grill can catch on fire. I used to have a grill on our balcony. Cooking burgers (lots of fat). It caught on fire and nearly burnt my house down. I noticed how close it is to your Bimini post. Love your channel.

After watching the Ruby Rose build for the past year (Seawind 1390) it is VERY interesting to see a side of a company that isn't all sunshine and roses. Seriously - missing and weak window struts and that thru-hull?!! I think you are taking the issues with a lot of grace by not completely bashing them. Really enjoying seeing you back on the water and looking forward to all the future episodes.
@joesmythe8232
@joesmythe8232 Жыл бұрын
Ruby Rose appeared to be in bed with Seawind going way back to their farce “Catamaran reviews”. It was predictable watching Nick get seasick on the voyage of hull one. Of course you’re going to get sick sitting in the back, and looking THROUGH the cabin watching the boat pitching up and down. It like sitting in the back of the van in the mountains.
@joesmythe8232
@joesmythe8232 Жыл бұрын
Wow! Poorly designed windows, with struts that can’t hold the windows open?! (And one of the windows they forgot to even install struts?!) Having to engineer and order their own custom strut? And a grill so cheap that they already had to replace it?

Great video, Sierra, haters will hate and or just jealous of what they don't have! Your voice is great, and for the person that doesn't like it, don't listen. WE WILL!!! Loved the video and loved seeing more of Jetty! As for dogs on a boat, Jetty is probably taken better care of then a lot of land dogs!!! Billy, Sierra and Jetty, you all ROCK!!! Thank you for the videos and I love that you bring us along! I agree with the other comments regarding the window, come on Seawind, step up to the plate! Fair winds and following Seas my friends!!!

Why did Saw Wind not provide the gas struts? Should that be a warranty issue? I am an RV owner and my new travel trailer had gas struts under the bed that came off (not well attached), and others have just died all within the warranty period. Still waiting to see if manufacture will warranty those issues Si far the warranty is only words on paper.

I remember when I was a kid on my dad‘s old 1940 Wheeler, it had a forward window with brackets on each side that you could control the window opening. They were merely flat metal with several notches for adjustment. The boat is probably gone now, but I bet the brackets are still working. Get rid of the stuff that breaks and go back to old school technology.

I really think you should of mounted the grill as far away from the arc as you could get. The heat from the grill lid might burn or discolor the arc. It just doesn't seem very safe having a grill with a high heat level that close to any fiberglass structure. I would of turned the grill on high before mounting it to the lid to see how much radiant heat it's going to produce.

Billy, be careful with the right side of your grill mounting against your fiberglass arch, pre-heating grill could get really hot, might need to put some stainless there to shield the heat! great looking boat, hard to believe they undersized your struts for your opening windows? should be an easy fix, we use a stainless steel rod to pin ours open, mainly for safety. Great job on your boat everything clean and shipshape. looks beautiful. Give Jetty a pat for me, very special dog!

Guys, please don't let net the negative comments get you down. Have more confidence in yourselves than them. You are doing what you want to do and entertaining a bunch of folks that wish we would have or could be doing what you are doing. The fact that some folks don't like you for some reason that I can't possibly fathom (like how I worked in a sailing reference there?) don't let it get to you. The problem is theirs and not yours. Keep the good stuff coming and only pay attention to the good comments.

I love the heck out of you kids, and I mean this in the most loving, caring way. I have a one and a half-legged friend. You ask what happened to the other half of his leg? He didn't wear his kill switch safety lanyard while operating his dinghy. It was a freak accident, as most are. It changed his life forever. I cringe and cross my fingers, hoping it doesn't happen to you or anyone. It does. That's why there are laws requiring them. It's so easy to wear. Please, please, please don’t throw caution to the wind that it won't happen to you. 💔 Much love to the three of you.
