Story about the Hominy Indians, a top professional football team from Hominy, Oklahoma. This team from the Osage Hills in Oklahoma was practically unbeatable in the 1920s and 30s. Some members belonged to the Osage tribe, some were from other tribes. All were native American players
They once beat the mighty New York Giants in what was the "Super Bowl" of that day.
Jim Thorpe played a few seasons for the Hominy Indians.

PEPPER MARTIN WAS ON THE TEAM WHEN HE PLAYED AAA BASEBALL FOR THE TULSA OILERS! WHICH GAVE THEM FITS TO THINK OF LOSING SUCH A GIFTED ATHLETE! HE WAS CALLED THE WILD HORSE OF THE OSAGE!
