"They charge and are counting every stem" =-/ I used to work under those conditions and I have to say....Boy am I glad I dont anymore...Anyways you are the best THANK YOU. You have taught me everything I know and I became a top designer and now have my dream job in one of the best flower shops (very High class) that I always wanted to work at. I owe it all to you! Thank you for making me a "diva" as some of my old bosses called me as I would refuse to do my arrangements any other way=-) Thank you sincerely

Your flowers are beautiful. That said, I've recently made a dozen hand painted origami roses for my mother's birthday but hadn't really considered how I'd arrange them. Thanks for the info. Looks like I need to fold a few more dozen leaves.

Beautiful! I'm happy to see your updated version with the lemon leaf. The dozen roses with the leather fern is classic but slighty dated now. I've learned a lot from you as a self taught florist! Thank you 😊.

I'm not a florist but I love watching your videos. Sorry, I am going to pick up some grocery store roses, & I'm going to use fern because I have that growing like crazy in one of my beds.

I love it!!! I’ve never made one like this. I don’t like the greenery but this looks amazing. I’m a huge fan and because of you I get orders her and there. My dream is to be a full time florist ❤️❤️

Michael, I got inspired by you. I was originally thinking of enrolling in your school but it is too far for me. So I enrolled here in Canada in my home base in Vancouver last July. They taught us a lot about gridding with tape. I notice your style, you don’t do that. Unfortunately, while taking the class, I developed allergies. I don’t know what plant or flower or pollen brushed onto my skin. I suffered the whole time. I took a step back and stop for now as I am trying to heal my skin. I’m thinking of wearing a hazmat suit next time. Lol!

Was the greens , gripped in hand g rotated from 2:00O Clock to 10: 00 O Clock? or was it 10: o clock to 2: 00 O clock? Could you demonstrate that turning, twisting technique for getting the birdsnest/ birdcage on the initial filler/ base a little slower and closer up?

I noticed you don't dethorn the roses before arranging. I am not sure I would add that much greenery. And in Europe you bind the bouquet in your hand so it naturally falls into the vase perfectly.
@tulipo69072 жыл бұрын
You never dethorn a rose. Dethorning opens up bark for bacteria and air to enter. You remove the very tip that hurts however

Binding is for amateurs as the skill is creating a birds nest. Only twelve flowers are used so the added mix of greens adds the luciousness. Free class. Stop in.

It’s pretty, but there’s still too many gaps and don’t care how much green you have if you don’t have enough filler And your first tear of roses is not evenly spaced, so there is one huge gap on the second and first tear, which makes it look like crap that’s why you use filler flowers Now to the uneducated people which I’ve only had four weeks in floral at a grocery store ha ha So I can’t say that I’m an expert, but I definitely have had four weeks more training than the consumer And I’m not impressed with what they’re doing at the grocery store they literally do not care about the flowers. They do not care about the customers they care about the customers money and they will put crappy looking product on the floor and to my surprise, people are actually buying It, The consumer buckets were people can pick their own bunches and put together their own arrangements at home do pretty good. The pre-arranged bouquets in the cooler on the side of the consumer buckets is really a hit or miss so a lot of those are chopping arrangements that are put in the refrigerated case for customers who wish to grab and go And then there’s the potted plants which there is way too many of difficult to reach because they’re all clumped and condensed together so maintenance is very difficult And a lot of them come from the growers already route bound, dehydrated and because the root bound they can’t drink so they need to be immediately repotted And they’re charging an arm and a leg and they beef rated flowers which means the premium flowers are going to the florists and of course you guys are paying for it so you have to charge your customers I’m a very quick study and I’m not impressed with the world being motivated by money as opposed to by quality and integrity But I do very much appreciate your contribution and helping me to grow and what I’m currently pursuing, which is just not satisfying because it’s not what I thought it would be to do flowers would be the absolute best of the best and they will be treated with a lot of love and care preconditioned put in clean buckets, not overcrowded like they do everywhere else so that the flowers are getting the water, the nutrition and circulation that they need that way the end product is that much more fabulous, and that alone can increase your prices even be rated flowers Loves sparkles like nothing else

I did this with my dozen roses that I got in the mail and they didn’t come with any greens. Now they look awful. Please don’t do this if you don’t have any leaves to poof it up. 🥲
