I am a trained Pastor from well established institutions both from Uganda and US. I have carefully watched Pastor Sempa and Serwadwa on the News Bulletin this evening and with due respect I am very disappointed in them and others with the same reasoning. There is a lot of biasness, fear and allegorization in their interpretation of things as they are happening in our country. I must say these two are not only questionable in their understanding of the gospel but they are out of touch with reality. Jesus preached a holistic gospel. The gospel of freedom from legalism, ascestism, injustice and manipulation. Jesus opposes things that we saw Bobi oppose in the Tuliyambala Engule song. If the Pastors think Bobi used the song out of context and for personal political interest, why don't you equally condemn yourselves for abusing the bible for personal gain? How many times did Jesus ask for an envelope to pray for the sick? Why do you sell prayers ?? Why do you promise people visas as if Jesus' Gospel was about Visas to America and Europe? The Church in Uganda must wake up to some of these guts that secretly go to state house, get funding to legitimise a dictator. For a long time you have been telling people tat President Museveni is the Angel of light and Kiza Besigye an agent of the devil! What is wrong with these so called men of God! They are clouds without rain like Jude wrote about them! Woe to you for choosing the way of Cain! You have betrayed tour brothers and sisters of Uganda by siding with the oppressor in the name of protecting a song that you have been singing just on funerals! Why crucify a one Bobi wine for preaching a holistic gospel and leave the many among you that take verses out of context for personal gain. Your hermeneutics, homiletics and exegesis is very poor! Go read your Bibles again! The Ugandans who have been under Pharoah for a long time are demanding for their freedom. And for my fellow Pastor Bugembe, you have no reason to apologise. Why didn't these pastors criticise you for singing in the Tubonga Naawe?

Everything in this world including political leaders, Bobi wine belong to God and it's God who puts leaders in place. God is more concerned about Bobi Wine as a person than a song or any thing else Bobi does in this life. God manifests himself in many ways that can confuse mankind. It's God who made Bobi Wine MP and any one can be used by God in any capacity, one doesn't need to be pastor to be used of God. How about if Bobi was a medical doctor/ a judge/ teacher/ lawyer/ a pastor and sung that song given the God given talent of singing and composing songs. Bobi can be victorious even without the songs because victory belongs to God as every good thing comes from God and God sees the heart not the outside as humans do. Just like God made Bobi Wine MP, God can also make Bobi Wine president of Uganda. No one can curse what God has blessed. No one can stop or fight what God has purposed. God has released favor, grace, love and mercy upon Bobi. Bobi doesn't need to sing to attract crowds, just his appearance is enough, it's like a magnet. Any thing close to God's heart including Bobi Wine attracts persecution. So Bobi Wine, stay focused and look up to the mountains where your help comes from. It's not by might nor power that Bobi is enduring these, it's by the grace of God. A high calling comes with special challenges. Bobi you are deeply loved, highly favoured and greatly blessed by God. Please, love, encourage and pray for Bobi; he is a man of God without the usual church related titles. Remember in the Bible, God used aprostitute, adonkey etc to carry out His purposes. Issues of war, politics concern God and God uses people to speak out issues of concern to his people. Humans what we don't understand we call names, fight it and what we understand we destroy. May God grant us all a hearing heart and let God be God. God doesn't need man's defense, God can defend himself and all that is His.
