I want to tell those life military as my father was that you can get about 1500 a month to take care of your parent or help pay a caretaker if, if you served in an agent orange effected area during Vietnam. I spent over 10 years caring for dad and then mom but only learned that the benefit covered spouses from the homeware doctor. He said they never inform vets of this benefit. The doctor was a veteran. I rushed to apply but my mother passed before we received the benefit. I dont want anyone to be deprived of what they worked and suffered through. As military brats, we suffered so much too. So please copy and paste and spread the word. Ten years I gave up. I could have paid for help. It was so hard to care for them and then lose them. I love and miss you both mom and dad. Thank you for your service dad. I remember all the times you had to go for months or years and you walking through the door, dad. YOU ARE MY HERO FOREVER DAD.

As an AF-retiree, thank you for remembering us all. The sacrifices servicemembers make touch the lives of their families and friends. With most of the time away, we miss birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, births, etc. Considering less than 1% of the Nation serves, it is easy to argue that many Americans will never truly understand; however, it is appreciated when they thank us and give their time to reflect.
