Love you Molls! Just so you know, fruits and veggies are actually some of the most common causes of food poisoning, especially when eaten uncooked! As long as meats are cooked thoroughly, they are a pretty safe option to eat since the heat from the cooking kills bacteria that causes food poisoning 💜

Molly I know you were avoiding meat, but sometimes what makes you sick are fruits that have been washed with the regular water rather than filtered! Or even sometimes the ice cubes in iced coffee's or smoothies/frozen drinks. Just something to think about for the future...I have gotten myself into the exact same predicament before actually ❤️ Glad you had a great trip before falling ill! Love you!

I have 38” natural long blonde hair all mine , no extensions. Definitely can relate to not wanting to jump in and wash your hair again. Mine takes 2 hrs to wash, condition and partially dry. Glad you extended your trip to relax.💜✝️🌸❤️🇺🇸🌹💜✝️🌸

I've spent months in Mexico - all over the country - and have never got sick. Typically, if food is piping hot, it's safe. Cold things like fruit and salad might be washed in tap water which isn't safe so if you eat this stuff, make it yourself or have it at a reputable restaurant! I find in general eating local street food is safest - they know how to cook it well! Also I'd recommend buying a filter water bottle so you can drink tap water. And take probiotics before, during and after your trip to help your tummy out. Don't be scared of foreign food, just be smart and enjoy it! Mexican food is the best!!

I live in the U.S. but my family is from Mexico so we go often and even I have gotten sick from the water & ice cubes, so I’m usually really careful about that or making sure you get a clean bag of ice from a store or market assures it’s good!

Molly you and Steph should have some tests done since you’ve had food poisoning as it can actually play havoc months/years down the line with gut issues and usually vigorous medication is needed to expel the bad bacteria/parasites from your gut due to the food poisoning! Just a heads up x

Hey! As others have mentioned, it could have been the water fruits veggies were washed in that made you sick. Especially things like salad which usually get a lot of washing. Ice cubes that are made from local water and frozen will also be a potential risk. X
