baby care center if you really wanna go to the parks alone! they have a whole nursing room with rocking chairs and you could definitely pump there :)
@tohopeandhappiness4 жыл бұрын
@@KATHYMIKE6870 You can not leave children at baby care. It's just a space for parents to use. There are no child care services in that area. There is a room to pump or nurse, a room with chairs and tables for kids/parents to color and watch Disney movies which is intended for children who are overwhelmed by the parks, a small shop with baby necessities like diapers and Pedialyte, a changing area and a restroom. Someone staffs the shop but again, at no point can you leave children there. Lost children are brought there while waiting to reunite with parents. :)

thedisneylady yeah exactly! I never said it was childcare just a good place to pump :)

Michael Schroeder lmao, you clearly don’t get it. She can go to the parks, SOLO as discussed in their vlog. She can enter the Baby Care Center and pump to her heart’s content. She can store her bottles in the fridge and take them when she leaves the park. Should she take the baby there, one day, then she can make use of the changing tables if he needs a fresh diaper. What exactly do you not understand? And so what if they tease the baby and call him grumpy? It’s in good fun. Some babies straight up look like little potato heads. I do it all the time. I think you’re trying to be a troll.

THESE ARE SO GOOD!!! literally tastes like little cookie dough balls NO-BAKE LACTATION BITES Ingredients 2 cups old-fashioned oats ½ cup ground or milled flaxseed 3 tablespoons brewer’s yeast 1 cup peanut butter or almond butter ½ cup honey 1 teaspoon vanilla ½ cup dark chocolate chips Instructions In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, add all ingredients except for the chocolate chips. Mix on low speed until mixture is well combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Roll mixture into 2-tablespoon sized smooth balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or enjoy right away. Once the bites have set, transfer them to an air-tight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

You can slow cook in it also but if you forget to get things going early enough you can just pressure cook and dinner is done in 10-60 min depending on the meat type and if it’s thawed or frozen.

Nobody can prepare you for how much your life changes overnight when you have a baby! My first baby is expecting a little one in May, our first grand baby. I’ve recommended your vlogs to her so she can get a sense as to what to expect. Watching brings back so many memories for me. My “older woman” advice is not to take any particular advice too seriously. I find that the baby dictates how and what you do and you just have to go with it. Once they settle into a decent nap schedule you’ll get some of your life back. You guys are doing a terrific job!

Friendly advice from a mother of 5: the first couple of weeks having a baby is basically being available at there every whim but this can't last forever. Set a sleep schedule. Still with understanding it won't be perfect at first. If you need him to sleep put him down at that time everyday. At first they may not sleep which is ok but eventually it will happen. You will find that he will start to fall asleep on his own at the same time. Sleep begets sleep. Good napping means good nights. I am loving watching yall with your baby boy. Y'all are doing a great job. ❤

As a baby shower gift a friend gave both my husband and a emergency baby bag filled with everything you could possibly need to leave in our car. In every size for the first year! CRAZY! It’s all in a back pack cooler so I can even throw something cold in there if really needed. That bag has been a life saver. Just a little of this and that. After 3 kids and 11 years of parenting I own an instant pot and it is a game changer. I would have loved this thing when our babies were babies. It’s 4 o’clock and I forgot to put the meatloaf in the oven at 3 so we can be at ball by 5?? No problem!! It’ll be done in the instant pot in 25 minutes!! It also doubles as a crockpot and it makes hard boiled eggs, so I trashed two other appliances when I got it. So many different functions! I had 3 kids in diapers at one point(not for long thankfully)! If I had to do it all over I would get a backpack with lots of pockets. I never liked diaper bags because what I needed was ALWAYS at the bottom of the bag. Lol. Also, a good messenger bag with lots of pockets/dividers would be good as well. Love these home Vlogs and seeing you start to venture out with Jackson!! He’s precious and you guys are doing an awesome job!! EDITED TO ADD: Use gallon ziploc bags to help keep items separated- diapers and wipe case in one. Bibs and cloths in another. Changes of outfits in one. Bag with rash cream, Tylenol, gripe water, etc. Makes it easier to grab exactly what you need and if you squeeze the air out before you zip them it helps save space! I always had a drawer of pre packed zip bags in a drawer so it was easy to replenish the diaper bag in a hurry.

Yes for slow cookers! When my kids were infants (a decade ago!), I relied almost exclusively on the crockpot because I could assembled it when they took their morning nap and not have to worry about it the rest of the day. I did want to mention, as I'm sure others have as well, that had Instant Pots been a thing when I had babies, I would have been so grateful. As it is, as a working mom of two hungry pre-teens, I have a deep and abiding love for my Instant Pot. I can use it like a crockpot and still do the same, beloved recipes; but, if I just totally forget to even thaw anything for dinner and get home at 5pm, I can still have something made by 6:30. I've done a whole chicken - frozen - in an hour and a half. It's my best friend. :)

I second the Jujube suggestion for diaper bags! They’re cute and WASHABLE, and some are convertible between backpack, messenger, etc. As for getting back to the parks, stay home as long as possible, but when you’re ready, wear him (I recommend a Tula for long wear), it’s so much easier and convenient. And use the Baby Care Center, they’re amazing.

2 time mom here. I don’t know how you feel about letting Jackson self sooth, but I had both my kids sleeping thru the night by 6 weeks by doing this. I’d give it a limit and if they wouldn’t stop by a certain time (5 mins or so) then I’d go in to their rooms. I also had them sleeping in their own rooms from 4 weeks on. This helps them to know when they’re in their rooms at night it was sleepy time. Hope that helps!

I used to have a Petunia Pickle Bottom ( the weekender it might be to big for you guys im not sure) I have never had issues with staining. I can see how the inside might stain but I never spilled anything crazy . Something that has always helped me in regards to my diaper bag was to get a few smaller zippered pouches. I kept my wipes, a few diapers, and the changer ( sometimes desitin) in one pouch then extra clothes in another. You can use as many pouches or as little as youd need. This helps when you get into the bag and makes finding what you need easier . I have four kids and have been through my fair share of diaper bags and the PPB was by far my favorite.

I used a Vera Bradley weekender as my diaper bag and it was perfect. Perfect. Tons of interior pockets. Lots of bags that have interior pockets (like the Jujube - hated that bag) don't have a lot of space in the middle for items like clothing and blankets once you fill the pockets. Mine also has a key fob, some outside pockets, space for a changing pad. I still have that bag and my kids are grown.

For Universal: each Health Services location has a nursing room (or curtained-off space, at CW) where you could pump and/or nurse. You could also leave your breast pump at any of the main Health Service bases in each park and come in and out throughout the day to pump so you don't have to carry your pump around with you. You could even leave your milk in a fridge (it would be labeled) so you wouldn't need to carry that around as well. :) I look forward to when you can get back to the parks, Jenn!
