Hello friends,
Bollywood & Kashmir are densely woven together & Shammi Kapoor reigned supreme in sixties,giving one after another superhit films filmed in Kashmir.Shammi had a dancing style of his own,jerking his neck, throwing back the hairlocks,twisting the vertebral column at impossible angles,becoming a heart-throb of many college girls but making many orthopedic surgeons miss their heartbeats.
"Tumne muze dekha hokar meherban" is a superhit song from the 1966 film "Teesri Manzil" I like very much,as my batchmate & a successful surgeon from Mumbai,Dr Shrikant Harne alias "Shikya"used to dance like Shammijee on this song in our medical college gathering. I have tried to play this song on harmonica,the venue is beautiful Botanical garden Srinagar,spread over 80 hectares,beautifully landscaped in the foothill of Zabarwan mountains on the banks of Dal lake. It has more than 1.5 lac ornamental plants,wide variety of oak,orchid & cedar trees & rare collection of kashmiri tropical plants.
The video shooting this time is done by Sujata on mobile phone(and the rhythm part,this time too. You can notice this at the starting note😄)
I am dedicating this song to my dear friend Shikya.
