I am so releived it was not cancer. I thought it was when I read the title . It's just good to be aware that not all tumors are cancerous and one should NEVER let it go, even though they are afraid . Glad you are recovering well !

This sounds so familiar to mine. My hip has randomly started hurting(really bad), and when I went to the doctor he was confused and suspicious that there was no injury, so he called for a MRI right away(yesterday) I found out today that it’s a non malicious tumor, so the doctor called a surgeon who specializes in these procedures. I also got a steroid injection today for pain relief until surgery, but that hurt.

I’m sorry the doctors didn’t have a concern and didn’t do anything in the beginning and caused the tumor to grow. Glad it’s gone

Hugs. I can relate. It took 4 years for doctors (many doctors) to take my hip pain seriously. I finally got an MRI it was torn plus was constantly going out of the socket. No therapy was going to fix that and it certainly was not in my head and neither was yours. I hope you are OK.

I understand 100%. I had the same surgerey on my hip last week on October 18. And seeing this definetly boosted my confidents. The bbone was roughly the size of a baseball and i am glad i have someone to relate to!

I have the same problem for few years, things have gotten so bad that I am limping 24/7 I wake up at night because my hip hurts, i am now home schooled because I can't go too school no more, I can take the pain for 2-3 hours at school with painkillers but the amount of moving around is to much for me, thanks to covid-19 my surgery will take longer I have no idea when I will go to the hospital and get the surgery. Feeling very depressing, I can't go to the gym no more I can't even go to school my life just went from okay to total bullshit.

I am currently having the same problem... I'm at physio due to a painful hip that I've had for months, the physio is not helping it's making the pain worse.. So I'm going back to my doctor to see what else they can do for me..

What type of equipment did you all need after this surgery? My daughter just found out she needs to be cut open and hip/ thigh bones separated for tumor removal. Did you need a hospital bed at home?

Hi, Sofia I recently found out that I had enchondroma in my right hip about 8mm. The doctor ill get a x ray in a month if it has grown at all and consider surgery. I am wondering how big yours was? Was your continuing to grow?

I got a injection on both my hips . And after a week ! It got swelled and It was soo painful that I was unable to move my leg! And now it’s almost 20 days it’s not that painful but Iam unable twist my body (banded leg to the right and upper body to the left ) that kind of twist when I do it my hip hurts! There is still little bit of swelling in my hip
