Today is an awesome fishing adventure! We head offshore out of key largo to do some offshore fishing trolling the Islamorada humps. After we go trolling the islamorada humps for tuna and mahi we go back to key largo to drift for mutton snapper.
I am using the new weedless squid rigs available on the South Florida Fishing Channel website. We have a ton of new offshore trolling gear! These are the best offshore trolling rigs for tuna fishing.
Use the weedless squid rig and you will most certainly end up with a catch n cook my fishing friends!
I did not think we would be mahi fishing but we hook into a MONSTER mahi when we start trolling offshore. Looks like the mahi mahi won that battle. It made me a little sad and I couldn't stop thinking about the mahi that got away. I want a Mahi catch and cook real bad!
I try my best to show you how to catch tuna. And how to troll for tuna using the weedless squid rigs. We end up catching a nice chunk of Black Fin Tuna. So looks like this will be a Tuna catch and cook!
After fishing for tuna on the Islamorada humps we run back inshore to 130-140ft of water to drift for big mutton snapper. And sure enough looks like we will be having a mutton snapper catch and cook episode coming your way real soon.

Hello from neighbors and fellow boaters! Last two days we’ve been trying to fish by the ocean reef club and got zero fish lol, because we were trying to catch those by using steak and salmon bait lol. As you can see we are not very experienced fishermens hahah. You should look up how to make sushi rice, instead of just using the plain sticky rice, they add just a tiny bit of Vinegar and Sugar to the rice and it makes a world of difference!!

Do you ever look at the wind direction before you go out fishing or does that not matter. I've heard that South and West winds are the best to go fishing in but I want someone like you to answer this question. Most of the time I go fishing from shore I don't get much luck whenever I choose a random day. I love your videos and I'm excited for more to come. Keep it coming bro.

From shore you want east to west if your fishing ocean side. West to east fish gulf side. We find when wind is blowing from west to east we go out farther to find a better bite. Same actually in a pondfish the side that the wind is blowing the bait.

When I go offshore here in Miami I am looking for ideally North or East winds. 10 knots or less in my 25 ft cc. The current goes north so it’s pretty calm with north wind because the current and wind don’t fight. East wind is the best fishing because the fish are pushed in closer. West wind is bad because all the debris are pushed offshore but they lack life to hold fish. I think for shore fishing wind direction only matters because of castability

10:34 a tip to get the best quality out the meat of the fish is to bleed the tuna over the boat dip him in the water and put it in the cooler. I did that with some Spanish mackerel and mangrove snappers , best fish I had lol. Dope video
