I add celery and red onion to mine too, but gotta try the pickle next time. I also like to add diced fuji apple for a sweet crunch.

OMG I thought it was weird at first to put Fuji apples but it's DELICIOUS!
@alysiama303510 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised if you hated it, either! Fuji apples give a rich taste and smell and sometimes can taste horrid with tuna!

Can you do a video on your favorite and most used kitchen tools? I would love to know what kind of standard items you recommend (like knives, mixing bowls, etc.) but also some not-so-common kitchen gadgets that you've maybe found to be helpful while cooking. Love all of your videos and delicious recipes!

I made this today, but I didn't realize I ran out of mustard and used a medium boiled egg instead. (figured the yolk would be similar and the egg would be a nice touch) It. Was. Delicious.
@heyitsdeniz9 жыл бұрын
***** It's not, but it was close enough and still worked in the sandwich, I guess lol (this was a year ago, so I'm just assuming). You don't desperately need to have mustard in it. Cooking is subjective.
@sorucha82495 жыл бұрын
wtf yolk similar to mustard? why? because it is yellow?

I make a Citronette (like vinaigrette but replace vinegar with lemon [or lime] juice.) use the preferred amounts and whisk in a teaspoon of dijon mustard to keep it emulsified (although this will split back into its two major constituents if left overnight, so make it before you serve) make sure to season the dressing with salt and pepper. If you like that fishy taste- especially with tinned tuna/sardines in olive oil or tomato sauce.. its great to use the oil in a Citronette (or vinaigrette). you're throwing away so much flavor and leached Omega-3 fats.

I make a very similar tuna salad, but I also add diced Cucumber, and use a combination of mayonnaise and Cucumber Salad dressing. The flavor of the cucumber also helps to mask any fishy taste.
