More than likely the last video in the overlandish build series as the general grabber x3 tires were the last piece i felt i needed to accomplish my outdoor recreation needs. Hopefully start focusing on more adventure type content. #Toyota #Tundra #overlanding.

In this video, your truck looks perfect! Too many people go overboard with the lift and hillbilly wheels/tires. I will do about the same as you with mine, but only 2.5" lift.

@@aor5148 Finally scrounged up the cash. You inspired me. I put just over a 2" suspension lift with the Bilstein 6112's and 5160 rears and put a 30" light bar hidden behind the bumper, Diode Dynamics yellow fogs, DD ditch light pods, and DD light pods mounted on the bed rails behind the rear window as alley lights. I powder coated the OEM wheels and wrapped them in 275/70-18 BFG's. I'd like to get rock rails too since there's no contact point for a high lift jack and nothing more. Take care!

I have a 2019 tundra .... factory tires suck! Worn out in less than 20k ... so i put on general grabber ATX .... so far, been great!! A little road noise but quite tolerable... excellent in snow/mud. 👍 ... and much cheaper than BFG.

@@aor5148 My factory Michelin LTX AT2s are still fine at 7400 miles but I do want larger and better tires but they did really well in the Ohio Snowstorm recently.....with 5 inches on the ground it was almost like I was on dry pavement. I took it out of 4 wheel drive and did totally fine. I only put it back on to used 4X4 because I don't get to use it much.

@@dalephillips8250 I would say if they are working for you stick with them but if you want larger I don't believe Michelin makes oversized tires I could be wrong on that. I would suggest Toyo open country ats in a 33". Appreciate the view and the comment

@@aor5148 Funny thats the exact tire I would go with at 33". I was looking at the "OWL" as model as they are 52lbs and 33.4 inches tall.

I just picked up a 2020 1794 edition and your rig is exactly what I want to do to mine nothing over the top just a more aggressive tire and a leveling kit I didn’t check yet but did you happen to list parts in the description. thanks man for your honest review. I have the same tundra and need new tires. I was going to buy all new wheels and tires but I like the orginal wheels so I am just going to upgrade the tires after watching your video. I'd rather spend the money on a Bilstein 6112/5160 lift.

Yeah only reason for aftermarket wheels is if your wanting a 12 and half wide tire i believe the stock wheels only accommodate 10 and half wide tires but I really don't think there is any substantial traction increase in the 2" difference that money is definitely better spent in the suspension I appreciate the view and the comment good luck with your build

3" Bds leveling kit in the front nothing in the rear. I was just looking for some ground clearance and clearance for the 33" tires the limitation to this lift is off road you need to take your time cause the shocks could bend or break at the bottom so if your looking for off road speed like pre runners or trophy trucks spend the money on a suspension lift. A arms on a tundra are actually a bad idea for this lift as tundra are built toed out from the factory they would only make tire wear worse appreciate the view and the comment

With these tires can you use the original spare or is the size difference too big? Could you fit this size of tire under there in the spare spot or is it too big?

Stock tire is ok to run as a spare if you choose to by eye ball it looks like the larger tire will fit in the stock location to be honest I don't carry a spare when off roading I carry a patch kit when I'm traveling or hauling ill throw it back on thanks for the view and questions

Most lift kit manufacturers will say what size tire the kit will accommodate like my 3" level kit bds recommended 33" tires. So do some research on the lift kit and what it will accommodate. Appreciate the view and comment

My psi light is operational and usually off-road shops or tire shops are pretty good at making sure that everything works the only thing that Toyota can't do is the recall work on the front grill radar sensor for the cruise control with having oversized tires. Appreciate the view and comment!

It depends how right foot disciplined you are and how much in town freeway use you have in town I have had as low as 8.5 mpg and as high as 17 mpg and traveling with no trailer load as high as 22 mpg

I have a 3/2 ready lift on my 21 tundra I wanna run 285/75/18 on it so u think i’d be ok clearance wise or would u recommend 275/75/18 to be safe?

As far as height you should be fine there isn't that much difference between 285/70 to the 275/70 but the stock wheels probably won't accommodate the width of the 285/70. Appreciate the view and the comment!

@@jeremeywright wheel spacers will not help with the 285 it is an 11.5 wide tire the stock wheels are to narrow for the tire you would need aftermarket wheels i would never recommend using wheel spacers for any application

My Moab trip i got 17 uphill and 18-20 down and alot worse with a heavy foot but that 4:30 rear end uphill is alot of fun getting after it. Appreciate the view and comment

Your correct on the 275/70 but I believe they do make a 33×12×18 but my wheels are too narrow to accommodate the wider tire. Thanks for the view and comment
